The fitness industry was not designed for women over 40 raising kids.

The fitness industry makes more money when you fail.

Think about it. If you actually got results and kept them you’d stop buying programs. Stop renewing memberships. Stop clicking the next ad.

So instead, they sell you something complicated enough to need guidance, strict enough to be unsustainable, and just effective enough to give you a taste before it falls apart.

Peloton. Noom. Beachbody. Weight Watchers. The pattern is always the same and the exit from their system is harder than the entry, and the result is just good enough to keep you hoping, never complete enough to set you free.

Then they sell you the next thing. And the next.

I spent years watching that pattern. And then I built Powertrain around the opposite. Simple programming. Sustainable habits. Results that don’t fall apart when life gets busy.

The answer has always been simpler than what they’re selling. And it requires a lot less of you than you’ve been told.

So everyone knows I’m a grill master 🤣

I smoke my first brisket and this meat taste amazing PAUSE😆
Almost 7hours on the grill, my fire went out so i finished it in the oven for 5 hours.

Stop trying to target belly fat.

I know that’s probably not what you’ve been told. Most fitness content out there will have you doing hundreds of crunches and buying waist trainers chasing a flatter stomach. And if that’s been your approach it’s not your fault.

That information is everywhere.

But here’s the truth: spot reduction is a myth. You cannot choose where your body loses fat. It doesn’t work that way. Your body decides where fat comes off based on genetics, hormones, and overall energy balance not which muscle you’re squeezing during a workout.

What actually works:
Creating a real calorie deficit not starvation, not a crash diet. A sustainable deficit that your body can work with over time.
Building lean muscle especially important for women over 40. More muscle means a faster metabolism, which means your body burns more fat around the clock, not just when you’re working out.

Managing your hormones through real nutrition protein at every meal, vegetables, water, and not spiking your blood sugar first thing in the morning. Hormones drive fat storage for women, especially around the midsection. Fix the nutrition and the belly starts to respond.

The belly goes. But it goes as part of overall fat loss not because you targeted it.

You don’t need to work out every day to lose weight.
I know that might sound backwards especially if you’ve been told you have to grind every single day to see results.

But here’s the truth: 3 to 4 focused, intentional sessions a week will beat 7 days of random movement every single time.

Why? Because what actually moves the needle isn’t how often you show up. It’s what you do when you get there. Progressive training that challenges your body. Real protein targets that support your muscle.

And sleep which most women overlook completely that lets your body actually recover and change.
