🏆🔥 WHAT A WEEKEND!! KING SLAYER & ZR TEAM SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT! 🔥🏆

Another tournament in the books, and our team brought home some serious hardware!

🥇 1ST PLACE YOUTH TEAM
🥇 1ST PLACE OVERALL TEAM

While the medals and team trophies are incredible accomplishments, what makes us most proud is the HEART this team continues to show! ❤️

From cheering each other on, celebrating victories, lifting one another up through tough losses, and showing unwavering support both on and off the mats, you all represent what it truly means to be a TEAM!

Every match is an opportunity to grow, every loss is a lesson, and every victory is a reflection of the hard work you’ve put in. We’re bringing home plenty of medals, but more importantly, we’re coming home with valuable lessons, renewed determination, and NEW GOALS TO CHASE! 💪

We couldn’t be prouder of the way you represent King Slayer BJJ and ZR Team! The sportsmanship, grit, dedication, and love you show for this sport and one another are what make this team so special.

The work doesn’t stop here. Back to the mats, back to chasing goals, and back to getting better!

🌟🥇 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: MAYA! 🥇🌟

Let me tell you a little bit about Maya and why this moment is so special! ❤️

This past weekend, Maya competed at the IBJJF Fall International Charlotte Open, but before stepping onto the mats, she shared a goal with me.

At her first IBJJF tournament, she earned 🥉 bronze. At her second, she earned 🥈 silver. With a little smile and a whole lot of hope, she told me she was hoping that meant GOLD was next! 🥇

And that’s EXACTLY what she went out there and earned! 👏🏼🔥

Watching her compete, I could see the determination, the focus, and that fierce little competitor giving everything she had. She stepped onto those mats with a goal, and she wasn’t leaving without giving it her all!

But here’s the part that really got me. 🥹❤️

After the tournament, her mom shared that while driving home, she happened to glance into the backseat and saw Maya sitting there wearing ALL THREE MEDALS! 🥉🥈🥇

Y’all, she had brought her bronze and silver medals with her, hoping she’d be able to complete the set with GOLD! 🥹

If that doesn’t tell you something about this little girl’s heart, determination, and belief in herself, I don’t know what does!

Maya is driven, fierce, goal-oriented, focused, kind, and soft-spoken. But don’t let that quiet personality fool you, because when she steps onto those mats, she’s a force to be reckoned with! 💪🏼

Maya, we are SO incredibly proud of you! Not just for the gold medal, but for setting a goal, believing in yourself, putting in the work, and making it happen.

Bronze. Silver. GOLD. 🥉🥈🥇

Three tournaments. Three medals. One determined little girl who had a dream and made it a reality!

Keep chasing those goals, Maya! We can’t wait to see what God has in store for you next!

🏆 IBJJF Charlotte International Open 2026 🥋🔥

We came home with some new hardware, but even more importantly, we came home with new goals, valuable lessons, growth, determination, and a whole lot of GRIT! 💪

Every match is an opportunity to learn, every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every time we step on those mats, we become better than we were yesterday.

We couldn’t be prouder of our King Slayer team! The hard work, dedication, and heart you continue to show both on and off the mats never go unnoticed. Medals are earned on competition day, but champions are built through the countless hours of training, sacrifice, and perseverance when nobody is watching.

Win or learn, we grow together. 👑⚔️

Congratulations to all of our competitors! We’re proud of you, and we’re excited to see you chase those new goals. Back to work! 🔥

It’s been an incredibly busy weekend filled with competitions, coaching, and cheering on our team, but we couldn’t let it pass without wishing Professor Lucas a very Happy Birthday! 🥳🎂

It comes as no surprise that Professor Lucas chose to spend his special day doing what he does best coaching, encouraging, and pouring into others! That speaks volumes about the kind of person, professor, and leader he is. ❤️

🥋 King Slayer showed up in VA Beach! 👑⚔️

Five of our athletes hit the mats at the FUJI BJJ Tournament in Virginia Beach this past weekend and came home with several medals! 🥇🥈🥉

We’re proud of the work these competitors continue to put in. Every tournament is another opportunity to test their skills, learn, make adjustments, and come back better. The improvements we’re seeing are a direct reflection of the hours they’ve been putting in on the mats. 💪

And we’re not slowing down! 🔥 With more tournaments coming up, it’s back to work sharpening technique, pushing one another, and continuing to level up.

Congratulations to all five of our competitors! Way to represent King Slayer BJJ! 👑⚔️

Train hard. Compete. Learn. Improve. Repeat.
