25 years have passed, We were a small-town fire department then, just as we are today.
Our trucks weren’t headed for the World Trade Center. Our firefighters weren’t climbing those towers. But that day changed every fire department, in every community, forever.
It reminded us why we train, why we prepare, and why we answer the call no matter what waits on the other end of the tones.
Today, we remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, the civilians who never made it home, and the families and communities left behind.
We honor them by continuing to serve our neighbors and being there when we’re needed most.
We remember. We honor. We never forget.
