Look what senior Lea Brock has been up to since the softball season ended. Way to go, Lea! Once again your spirit and acts of selflessness are shining through. If you would like to help Lea out with her drive, we can put you in touch!

Meet Lea. She noticed something many of us feel. She wanted to help, but anything she would give felt small. So she started bringing people together. She went first - organizing a food drive at Lincoln High School. She bought a few groceries with her own money. She learned what made donating easy, what made it confusing, and what made it feel possible. And then she showed others how to do the same. And you know what happened? One small bucket she didn’t expect to fill overflowed on day one. Sometimes, people are just waiting for someone to show them it matters. Give what you can. Your “small” is someone else’s enough. Photographer Morgan Denson came to our game in Omaha tonight against Benson and got some great shots! Thank you!! The Links bats were on fire! Evie Becher hit a dinger way over center, got a triple and 2 rbis with 2 runs, Lea Brock hit 3 doubles with 3 rbis and 2 runs, Annie Semrad had 2 doubles and 2 rbis and 2 runs, Adella Coffin was 1 for 2 at the plate with 2 rbis and a hit by pitch and a run, Lexi Lovette had 2 rbis and 2 runs, Nya Gach had an rbi and run and got robbed with a tremendous line drive catch by Benson’s SS, Ceci Benson was 1 for 3 with a run, Yanitza Lopez and Nora Davy each scored runs. Ceci Benson locked in with the 13-2 win in the circle and had 5 strikeouts. Go Links!! Next up is GI tomorrow.

Lincoln High Softball boosters have Cane’s on 48th and R Street lined up for a fundraiser on Tuesday September 23rd from 4-8 pm. Cane’s has generously agreed to kick back a portion of their sales to the softball boosters to help support the softball program. Please consider attending to show the team some love. Senior night against Bryan was a success. Final score was 13-1. Senior Lea Brock hit in the winning run. Seniors Lexi Lovette, Nya Gach and Lea also all 3 scored runs. It was a fantastic whole team win. We then celebrated with a pizza party and a few shenanigans. Thank you Links supporters! It was a great night of softball.

Come on out to Doris Bair field 2 at 5:00 tonight to cheer on the Links and help us honor seniors Lea Brock, Lexi Lovette, and Nya Gach for senior night!

Links went 2-1 this past weekend and bats were on fire! Lovette, Benson and Semrad all .500 BA w/ Benson and Lovette each having a double. Davy and Becher each picked up 2 doubles and doubles were also had by Brock and Martin. One of Becher’s doubles bounced off the top of the HR fence. Becher and Gach had triples.

In the circle, Semrad had 12 Ks and Benson had 8. Becher caught 3 stealing and had a P*K.

Fans support was amazing. What a weekend! Way to go, Links!!

To name a few, Evie Becher drives one way over center field on the first pitch, Sheree Martin makes a clutch catch in left field, Marley Lintz snags a smoking line drive at 2B and fires it to Nya Gach for a double play, Ceci Benson was 2 for 3 at the plate, others hits by Nora, Lea and Marley Lintz, and the team energy was on point. We had a blast and are ready to work. Wins will come. JV then won 17-6. Go Links!!
