56 Years ago today ladies and gentlemen marks the day we lost the great Malcom X. If your not familiar with who Malcom is... Malcolm X was one of the most dynamic and influential figures of the civil rights era. He was an apostle of black nationalism, self respect, and uncompromising resistance to white oppression. Malcom was also born right here in the heart of Omaha Nebraska 1925. Many iconic quotes come from “The Ballot or the Bullet” speech on April 3rd, 1964. This speech was a speech calling out to all African Americans in the name of fighting for their right to have say in their own equality. The terms explain itself as the main focus was for African Americans to be able to vote otherwise they would have to take action into their own hands “By Any Means Necessary”. With this being black history month we wanted to bring awareness once again to the great Malcom X as to this day we see the generational problems finally coming to a close. May it be the guide for us all to lead a better world 🙏🏾

This even is not hosted by FFBL we will be hosting our next protest the following day after this for now our main focus is reuniting the community and standing for causes of all wrongdoings in our community

Once again, Trump’s supporters will be out at the Capitol rallying behind his senseless “Stop the Steal” claims about the 2020 election. Once again, we will be counter protesting making it known that we will not tolerate hate, bigotry, or anything of the kind here in our community. They’ve said it’s just politics, nothing more nothing less, but that’s false. Trump and his values go directly against the existence of BIPOCs, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized and oppressed communities and people. To support him is to further allow the perpetuation of the oppressions we’ve been fighting for the past 9 months. Show up and show out, this is indeed a Fight for Our Lives.

At fight for black lives our mission is people first and when the candidates chosen to represent the people become a choice of lesser evil... The people MUST intervene to put back a power and system in store for the benefit and choice of people over paper‼️ instead of conformity to a system that values rules and regulations before basic human right... come pro election we are back in full swing based off of the election choice... our end goal is a system for the people, by the people, with the people... By any means necessary we will have our power back ✊🏿

For any confusion the protest is not til tomorrow we are not assembling tonight but there are a few more things we need to proceed with tomorrow. Barrels, Tents, snacks, blankets, loud speakers, megaphones (make the chants louder), fences/gates, hand warmers, candels, flashlights... if you are able to provide any of these comment or get in contact through message. If you wish to speak on behalf of your organization or group or just talk from a person viewpoint, message before 3 pm Friday. Remember wear all black and dress warm🤟🏾

Police have yet again taken the life of another one of our black lives. Not here but in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Walter Wallace was shot and killed by police yesterday after approaching officers with a knife in hand. This is more proof that officers need to be removed or redone because they resorted to bullets instantly and ended up taking the life of yet another human. There are plenty military and martial arts physical de escalation tactics that de arm faster and safer than bullets do. This calls for more of a standing from the community of friday. We have to rally on this and get the knowledge back out there that in Lincoln Nebraska we Fight For Black Lives worldwide‼️

This event is calling for a lot from the community but I believe and I know we still have the anger held deep within us from all the wrong doings to our community as black people and a community as a whole... We Still Can’t Breathe because the system is still fueling the mindset of appearance having a matter in what treatment you receive and in some cases that can take your life away... As long as we conform to a system that continues to aid the destruction and limiting of our black and brown communities... This toxic world we live in will continue you for generations far past us and the one we live in... our ancestors and past relatives fought this battle to attain the power and equal rights that had been neglected through violent actions... although we don’t have obvious segregation we do have one thing in common... when we tried to call back towards our power we were violently pushed away... the reason nothing since may had changed is simply because we haven’t applied any requirement for them to change anything... in fact they made us all believe that a solution had been reached the day after they had gunned us down in our own streets... I call to you to untie October 30th down centennial mall to show them our force and that we still have a mission to eradicate their current ways of handling the justice system... understanding it may be cold so many space heaters are going to be brought, tents will be there, blankets, food, water, music, games, we gone be Ight... amoungst this there are a few speakers and music performances during this... the goal here is to unify the community before the election and make sure we all know where we stand with the outcome and how we are going to proceed after... I need as much help on this as I can get 😅 but I know we can do it if you wanna get involved message the page and share this as far as it can stretch we have 10 days...

If anyone is confused FFBL just needed a break and a moment of freedom to Devise how we want to open the communities eyes to the corrupt system it constantly confirms to...
The term final demonstration is coming from the fact that we won’t do any more events until after the election is decided. Any day after the final demonstration we will be strongly supoorting the community and solidarity marches will be the main driver until after the election... The fight itself is not over never will it be over until we are satisfied... these two upcoming events depending on how tomorrow goes might be the last two before the election... this gives us a better understanding of what the world we are going to be battling in will look like and open up a new door of opportunity... some of which we have spoke about... regardless this is far from over FFBL as a whole will be around til this fight is over

Due to it getting colder and for the sake of the overnight protest we are only able to gather so much by ourselves if you know anybody with any of these items they’d be willing to let us borrow or purchase get in contact by sending a message to the page.
