Omaha Westside’s football program is home to two females, Piper Zatechka and Erin Mardi. Both strapped on the pads because of their passion for the game and just so happened to blaze a few trails on their way.
They have a message to other girls aspiring to play football: “Go for it.”
"You wouldn't want to look back and regret not going out for it,” Zatechka said. “The more girls we get playing, the more girls are going to feel more comfortable going out for football.”
