5 DIY Essential Oil Recipes for Muscle and Joint Pain Relief

Here are five simple DIY recipes you can make at home to help soothe your muscle and joint pain:

1. Cooling Peppermint Muscle Rub

Supplies Needed:
10 drops of Peppermint Oil
5 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil (as a carrier)
Small glass jar
Directions:
Melt the coconut oil if it’s solid.
Mix in the peppermint and eucalyptus oils.
Store the mixture in a glass jar.
Massage a small amount into sore muscles as needed.
2. Soothing Lavender and Chamomile Bath Soak

Supplies Needed:
10 drops of Lavender Oil
5 drops of Chamomile Oil
1 cup of Epsom salts
A large mixing bowl
Directions:
Combine the Epsom salts with the essential oils in a large bowl.
Stir well until the oils are evenly distributed.
Add the mixture to a warm bath and soak for 20 minutes to relieve muscle tension.
3. Ginger and Turmeric Joint Relief Balm

Supplies Needed:
10 drops of Ginger Oil
5 drops of Turmeric Oil
1/4 cup of Shea Butter
2 tablespoons of Beeswax
Small glass jar
Directions:
Melt the Shea butter and beeswax together in a double boiler.
Remove from heat and stir in the ginger and turmeric oils.
Pour the mixture into a glass jar and let it cool.
Apply to aching joints as needed.
4. Warming Black Pepper and Marjoram Massage Oil

Supplies Needed:
10 drops of Black Pepper Oil
10 drops of Marjoram Oil
2 tablespoons of Sweet Almond Oil (as a carrier)
Small glass bottle
Directions:
Combine the essential oils with the carrier oil in a glass bottle.
Shake well to mix.
Massage into sore or stiff areas to enhance circulation and reduce pain.
5. Frankincense and Rosemary Joint Support Cream

Supplies Needed:
10 drops of Frankincense Oil
5 drops of Rosemary Oil
1/4 cup of Coconut Oil
2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel
Small glass jar
Directions:
Whip the coconut oil and aloe vera gel together in a bowl until smooth.
Mix in the essential oils.
Store the cream in a glass jar.
Apply to joints to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
