Be honest, when is the last time you visited the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame? When is the last time you saw the history, exhibits and memories of all the amazing high school sports in this state?
Well, what are you waiting for?
Some athletes win titles. Others set the standard for how the game should be played.
Alex Gordon did both.
State championships in Nebraska. A World Series ring in Kansas City. Fourteen years of professional excellence. But ask his teammates, and they'll skip the hardware and go straight to the man: "Dedicated, tough, he did everything the right way."
That's the legacy that earns a place in the Nebraska State High School Sports Hall of Fame — not just what you won, but who you were while winning it.

Known as one of the best rushers of his generation, Ahman Green was also a state track champion in the 100 & 200 meters, as well as a two-way player in football where he also played linebacker and punter. After rushing for over 9,000 yards and winning the National Championship in 1995, he took his talents to the NFL where he amassed over 11,000 rushing yards, earned 4 Pro Bowl selections, and retired as the all-time leading rusher for the Green Bay Packers!
As one of the leaders of the resurgence of Nebraska football under new head coach Bob Devaney, Kent McCloughan was an all-conference defensive back before joing the Oakland Raiders, first as a player then as a scout.
