OFFICIAL: The Light Side extends a two-wheeled holiday invite to The Dark Side! Join Team Just Sayin' for our annual holiday party Sunday, Dec. 7, from 4:30-7 at The Raven! We'll be serving up potluck soup, cinnamon rolls and BEERS! (Wait, let's redo that. BEERS, soup and cinnamon rolls.) Doesn't matter what you ride, it's just that you do. We'd love to have you! Please message me if you plan to attend.
New to Lincoln. Friend told me about PP's. When is the next ride? I heard Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Blue Bloods (?). 5:30?
I'm writing for 2 reasons - I'm attending the RTC Summit in Milwaukee as a member of Nebraska trails foundation, and an advocate to complete the segment of the MoPac from South Bend to Wabash.

2 - My husband and I have an Airbnb near the Wabash trailhead that sleeps 10+ and is suitable for camping as well. We would like to promote a bike event out here with you all to provide a great experience, promote our bnb, and promote trail tourism as a viable and worthy investment. Please talk it over with the gang and call Marie at 402-429-3648 or write me at marie .com thanks!

btw you can view our bnb on Airbnb if you put in destination Murdock, Nebraska and it's the house with the rainbow.

Cycle Works

Who else is getting excited for Global Fat Bike Day? As excited as we are, we also want to have the event as safely as we can so we have changed a few things from years past. Please read and pass along our guidelines to anyone coming for the event.

Staggered Start – We will be staggering the start of the ride, arrange a time with your friends to show up at the same time, get a group photo of you and your friends and then ride the route any time between 9:30 – 10 am. There will likely be a limited number of 2020 Global Fat Bike Day stickers available at the shop, once they are gone they are gone.

Face Coverings – must be worn inside and we are encouraging you to wear one anytime, even outside, when you are around people outside your household and not actively riding. A buff would work perfectly for this as it is easy to pull on and not get lost. It's also going to be a chilly start so a buff might also be a necessity to keep your face warm.

Individual group photo – there likely isn’t a way we can do a large group photo this year but if you want to get your smaller groups together for a photo we will have someone there taking pictures from 9:30 - 10am. Even in the smaller groups, face coverings and social distancing is encouraged.

White Elm - Don't forget to get on their website and order some of their tasty adult beverages that you can pick up curbside after leaving Van Dorn Park.

Pub Pedalers is once again looking to help out the Food Bank of Lincoln during November for those in need. Please consider donating to help people in our community and show them that the Lincoln cycling family is a caring group! This year with Covid affecting everyone, we thought it would be best to forgo the physical food drive, and put up a link where you can donate directly to them. If you prefer, you can even list Pub Pedalers under the company name. Thank you in advance for helping out!

Cindy Lange-Kubick: The Angel in Room 255 saved a life and gained a friend in Lincoln

Everyone that rides the Solstice Gravel Grinder each year knows Jamie as the "Volunteer Coordinator Extraordinare". So proud to have her as a friend, and to see how she changes lives on a daily basis. Please take the time to read, and consider donating to Tom's GoFundMe if you can.
www.gofundme.com/f/helping-tom-bothwell

On a side note, Jamie was one of the first on the scene after I was hit on my bike 3 years ago. She stayed with me til the ambulance transported me to the hospital, and then came there as well. This isn't her first time proving she's an angel!

journalstar.com On Oct. 16, a Lincoln woman stopped to help a stranger hit by a car on Normal Boulevard — and that was just the beginning.

Dearest Pub Pedalers friends: I am so proud of the friendships we have made with each other over the past 188 consecutive weeks! I truly do love you all! But, with all the concerns about COVID-19/Corona virus, the CDC is strongly encouraging "Social Distancing." We do not and should not take this lightly. For the next several weeks and months, I suggest that we still do a weekly ride. For those who want to ride, we will continue to meet outside of a different restaurant each week, go for a 10-15 mile ride (or longer). When we are finished, instead of dining in, let's either buy takeout or go in and buy a gift card from that establishment. And please make sure to leave a tip to help out all the food servers who are obviously going to suffer from the loss of income. I believe that getting outside and riding our bikes will do everyone some good; lets just stay away from the get social togethers for a while. Thank you to everyone for understanding, and through strength, we can get through these unprecedented times!

Homestead 100 Cycling Tour

It was brought to our attention that our prices increased significantly this year. Although we had planned to raise the registration fee to keep up with the ever-increasing costs of event insurance and other costs associated with putting on an event like this, we did not intend to raise it by that great of a percentage So, the registration fee will now be $35 per person for the next two weeks! That still includes a soft comfy event t-shirt, and amazing SAG support through the ride! For those of you who have already registered, Thank You and please check your email as we will be offering you a refund. Hope to see you all on Sept. 21st!! RIDE ON!!

We need YOU! Yes, you! We are looking for volunteers for the Solstice Gravel Grinder on June 22nd. We have many opportunities to manage a SAG stop(food and water) or course support(drive around and check on riders as they ride) and also at check in or at the finish line.

If you'd like to help out while the riders spend all day in the saddle, give us a shout! We'd love to help these folks out by having ample support staff, to make their day go radtastic! We'll even feed ya after the event at Lippy's, and get you a super comfy event shirt!

Let us know! Either reply to this, or send us a message!

Keep being AWESOME! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
