Here's a throwback to June 2001!
Park Planner Bill Weddle had just started his 24-year career with Lincoln Parks and Recreation. Some staff attempted to tally the total number of projects he had been a part of, and we're still counting!
Bill happily retired with co-workers, friends, and loved ones last week. Congrats on your 24 years, Bill! 🏌️Wishing you all of the hole-in-ones in retirement. ⛳

Birdies are nice. 🏌️
Eagles are better. ⛳
Real ones? Even better than that. 🦅
For the past few years, a pair of bald eagles has nested on the back nine at Holmes Golf Course. Visitors often spot them—and possibly their eaglets—from a distance. Please respect their space and avoid the nest area. Staff works closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the birds.
