Competitors started with a 45-arrow ranking round, setting the stage for the excitement of the Shoot Off, where the top archers in each category battled it out for the final placements.

The archery world was buzzing this weekend, and we have some exciting things to celebrate!

First, a huge congratulations to Olivia for an incredible performance at the NFAA Indoor Nationals in Tennessee! She not only finished 2nd overall in the women's recurve division, but also claimed the title of Collegiate Champion while shooting personal best scores. That kind of performance doesn’t just happen by accident. It’s the result of focus, dedication, and countless arrows downrange. Well done, Olivia!

Back here in Nebraska, we wrapped up another USA Archery Indoor Pin Shoot and it was another great day on the range. Archers stepped up to test their skills, and 18 achievement pins were awarded to those who hit their next milestone. Each pin marks your progress with the goal of doing their best!

One of our archers enjoys the sport so much that they even took a scientific approach at Dewey’s school science fair - experimenting with equipment and technique to discover what sends their arrows flying the truest. When archery meets curiosity, the results speak for themselves.

Great job to everyone who participated this weekend. The energy and dedication on the line were fantastic to see.

We hope to see you back on the range this Saturday March 14th for the Salt Flats Shoot, at the Turpin Outdoor Education Center!

Here are some snapshots from this morning’s NRA Air Pistol Sectional Match at the Turpin Outdoor Education Center’s firearm range!

These matches are conducted under International Style Rules, often recognized as Olympic style competition. For many of these athletes, this format is a favorite. It is pure focus, discipline, and mental endurance wrapped into 60 recorded shots within a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit.

In addition, a .22 Standard Pistol match was held, featuring another 60 recorded shots divided into three timed stages. While the rhythm of each match differs, the heartbeat remains the same: steady nerves and controlled breathing brings precision on paper.

Shooting sports offer a lifelong enjoyment, a measurable way to track personal growth, and a community built on safety, encouragement and respect. Each day we come to the range, we bring focus, discipline, and a commitment to doing things the right way - and having fun at the same time!
