We have received official notice that the Roller Derby portion of the World Skate Games in Paraguay this October has been canceled.

While we are incredibly disappointed, we respect the decision and are already looking ahead to future opportunities to represent Team USA. Our athletes, staff and supporters have put in a tremendous amount of work preparing for this stage, and that momentum isn't going anywhere.

Since we have secured a sponsor for our Men’s USA roller derby team uniforms we are on to the next phase of our fundraising

Warm Up Suits: total cost for team is $2550 ($150 per skater/coach).

I want to take a minute to thank the Men’s USA roller derby team’s uniform sponsor … Linda Garrett-Keller. Linda reach out to me last Saturday, responding to a fb post I made asking for uniform sponsors for 15 skaters and 2 coaches. She explained that she wanted to sponsor a skater in memory of her son TSGT Andrew Keller.. Andrew lost his battle with melanoma stage 4 cancer in Feb of 2026. Andrew was in avionics and had served 11 years in the United States Air Force. He loved impromptu bar b ques, bowling with friends, motorcycle rides, and work, he was a proud airman.

On Sunday Linda reached out again and asked if she could sponsor the whole team. She had one condition, could everyone wear his initials during each game. I told her we would be honored and would dedicate our first game to him as well.
We are working on a few plans to make sure that we honor not only Andrew but his mom who in her time of grief and heartache has blessed our skaters with the most amazing unselfish act of giving… we are so grateful for your kindness Linda and we know that these moments are not easy. We will do our very best to honor Andrew in Paraguay and show the world what a beautiful soul it has lost.
On Behalf of the Men’s USA roller derby team we send our love and condolences to u and your family and to those who loved him.. you belong to our family now, that’s how roller derby works.

We have designed a memorial sticker that each skater will wear on their helmets. We will be supplying Linda with some for her family and friends. If anyone is interested in purchasing a sticker they will be $5 (includes shipping) all proceeds will be donated to a cancer organization chosen by Linda in Andrews name.
