Lots of boating stuff available this Saturday. Davits, chartplotter, dinghy, outboard motor, 41 inch sailboat steering wheel just to name a few.

Well...... We weren't too pleased having to postpone our annual LKM Regatta and even more of a bummer to admit defeat but it appears the weather has conspired with scheduling to kick our collective butts this year. This year's race is officially canceled. There may be other races this year but the Annual Lightkeepers Memorial Day Invitational Regatta is not happening.

Moving on....

Looking for some good places to advertise boat paraphernalia for sale.

Where have you had the most success? Facebook Market Place? Craigslist or some other venue altogether?

Post your answers in the comments.

Ok, so within minutes of posting details of this year's Regatta the race committee concluded that the race should be postponed one week for more favorable sailing conditions.

We will rally and take this time to bring new participants in to the mix.

See y'all next weekend.

It has been a looooooooong while. We've been traveling and got busy just being busy. Sorry for the delays.

Today is the 5th annual Lightkeepers Memorial Day Invitational Regatta. As in years passed, several boats were expected to participate but we are down to just three.

Last year's winner "Incognito" will have a new owner soon as she was recently sold. We are fortunate to have snatched up her crew, the capable and experienced team of Rich and Traci Lundy. This, coupled with our new oversized Neil Pryde sails gives our vessel Rhiannon Marie a fighting chance against our formidable opponents and good friends Captains John and Beth Schwab who will be milking every drop of performance out of Norstar to try and capture a 3rd trophy while our friends aboard The Perks (the only catamaran ever to enter the race) is expected to make us all work hard for this year's trophy.

We are just a few hours away from start time and unsure even now of the exact course but we always begin at the Little River Inlet buoy. This year with winds expected to be out of the NW at the start we will probably head north to the weather buoy in North Carolina then coming back to the Inlet for a Bird Island respite and celebration.

If you're out on the waterway today be smart and be safe.

Good luck and fair winds to us all!
