Great practice today on Harris Brake! Hoping to do it for real next weekend.

Our December trip to Toledo Bend started out adventurous with a tornado coming over us on night 1 and knocking out the power. Fished Friday, then Saturday was another washout. Finally got a good day in on Sunday and caught some good numbers but didn’t find the TB beasts. Highlight was C-man catching 2 in 1 cast on a deep diving crank bait. Have a Bassmaster tourney here later this year. Great times!

Annual Gulf trip!

The difference between 2nd and 8th is narrow! Finished in 8th today on Lake Atkins KBA tournament. The difference in finishing higher was simply ex*****on. I said before the day started I would only get 6 bites due to conditions with high winds. That’s exactly what I got. The problem? Only 3 of those got in yak to be measured. The bait I wanted to throw wasn’t working so I switched to a wacky rigged senko, and didn’t have my gear or myself in tune with the switch. The upside I will be better prepared next tournament. Still a great day on the water!
