Little Rock Roadrunners Club

Pulaski County is updating its Trails Master Plan and is seeking input from residents, business owners, and community members to help shape the vision. The plan will guide future trail connections throughout the county, including links between Pinnacle Mountain, downtown, and the future 30 Crossing Park. As runners and cyclists, we are the major trail users and the prime audience for this input. Take the survey to share your ideas for the future of our trail system!

Flyway fun run… extreme heat edition. It was 101°, feels like 106° with an extreme heat warning but over 50 of you got it done! Kudos to everyone who braved the heat with us today. Heat acclimation is in full effect… we have been training for this all summer! **If you have not been running in the heat, always listen to your body and take it SLOW!** We will be there same time next week!

Thursdays at Flyway are fun no matter how hot it is! Come get your miles in with us! Every Thursday at 6:00 pm at Flyway NLR!

We are thrilled to announce our August Pub Run! This month, we're teaming up with On Running and Girls on the Run for an evening of running, community, and of course, great beer. Test out some new On shoes, learn about the amazing work Girls on the Run is doing, and then kick back with your running buddies at the pub.

It was an epic send-off for Evan Carr! Evan started the Flyway group run over 4 years ago and has been there just about every week since, welcoming new folks and encouraging them to keep showing up. This run has grown to become a weekly staple in many of your lives and we are grateful for the community he has built! He and his wife Audrey are headed to Charleston, SC as she begins her surgical fellowship. We will miss you Evan!

Thursday, July 16th: Evan’s Last Hurrah!

Don’t miss tomorrow’s Flyway run, where we will bid farewell to our fearless leader, Evan Carr! Evan was the force behind bringing this run to fruition over 4 years ago and it has become a huge part of our club and something many of you look forward to each week! Let’s give him a proper send-off before he and his family move to South Carolina!

If you’ve been to an LRRC social event over the past 10+ years, chances are you’ve enjoyed one of Dawn Fisk’s delicious desserts!

From our old club meetings at US Pizza to holiday parties and special Flyway Fun Run events, Dawn has generously shared her baking and cooking talents with our club for years. For some of our biggest events, she’ll even take a day off work just to prepare everything—that’s dedication!

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to surprise Dawn with a thank-you card signed by many of our members, along with a gift card to Waldo’s Chicken & Beer so she can enjoy a well-deserved meal.

Thank you, Dawn, for everything you’ve done to make our club feel like family. We appreciate all the time, effort, and love you’ve poured into our Roadrunners community! ❤️
