Thank you to all the great support Dirty Worm Bar & Grill has had for four wonderful years.
I have been silent because there are so many people who want to make their own narrative, but I feel it's time to explain.
For those of you who don't know me, I am a loving and giving person. You only know what you've read on here, heard or been told.
I have, four times, saved lives from medical emergencies in and outside the bar. One was a man who's heart stopped while sitting at a table! Praise The Lord I was there. These were not emergencies caused by something in the bar. Just normal medical emergencies, which have been portrayed on facebook as caused by the bar somehow.
I have always paid for Ubers for my customers who needed or asked for one. Out of my own pocket! I didn't ask for repayment. All because I love my people
I have lovingly supported my employees and they are the BIGGEST reason I have kept the bar open. And I feel terrible they are now without paychecks.
George, the one who always walked me to my Uber. Lisa, the rock of my kitchen. Vince, the funny and happy one. Remona, the rock who has supported us from the start.
In reference to the ones I "let go".
The first employee I was crucified about letting go was literally stealing hundreds of dollars a week from the bar in alcohol, food and cash. She held a yard sale and sold all the tools I had in the back room and pocketed that money. But I was called wrong for letting her go.
One was let go for overdosing in the bathroom. This was a huge liability for me and I would not condone her drug use. I was called wrong for letting her go.
The last one QUIT! But Im called wrong for letting her go. I didn't let her go, she QUIT.
I have never told people why these employees are no longer with us due to not wanting to ruin their reputations. But my reputation was dragged through the mud.
The supposed stolen car was NOT stolen, it was repo'd! But so many people believed the trash they were fed by the other page.
My son is autistic and you all treat him so terribly. Shame on you.
I closed the bar because I have enough to live on without this stress. I LOVED providing a place where people could go to have fun, joy and mingle.
To my supposed 'friends' who now go on other peoples posts and say such terrible things, I have seen it.
I will hold no ill will because it isnt worth the stress you seem to be spending on the negativity. I pray you all have blessed lives and may The Lord provide us all with peace and happiness.
Again, for those who have supported us, thank you for all you do. I will miss this chapter in my so beautiful life. But it is time to move on.
Much love,
Rebecca
