Today, we proudly celebrate the newly installed officers of the Historic Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

As we begin this new chapter of leadership, we extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the previous administration for their leadership, dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to moving Pi Lambda forward. Your service has helped strengthen the foundation upon which we will continue to build.

The work continues! We look forward to building upon the accomplishments of those who came before us, embracing new opportunities, and continuing to make an impact through Brotherhood, leadership, service, and excellence.

Here’s to honoring our past, embracing the present, and building an even stronger future.

Once again this year, we had a blast at Gibbs Magnet School welcoming students and parents into the building on the opening day of the school year.

Serving Our Community: Back to School Block Party & Hunter United Methodist Back to School BackPack Giveaway

Today was a wonderful example of what can happen when brothers come together with a shared commitment to serve our community.

The Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with the Pi Lambda Foundation and Studio 62, came together for a Back to School Block Party at 614 Center Street. Along with brothers that assisted and helped with Hunter United Methodist Back to School BackPack Giveaway

The Chapter and Foundation provided school supplies to help students get ready for the upcoming school year, while preparing and serving hamburgers and hot dogs to families throughout the event. There was also free haircuts, nails and braids throughout this event.

More than just an event, this was an opportunity to give back, fellowship, and make a positive difference in the lives of young people and families in our community.

We are proud of the work our brothers continue to do and grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success.

Following his fantastic performance on August 1 at Pulaski Technical College’s Center for Humanities & Arts for the Brother Inc.’s 2026 Music Fest, Chapter Historian Brother Reginald L. Jackson presented Award winner, Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree & Fraternity, Inc., Brother Gerald Albright with an Traveler Certificate on behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Pi Lambda Chapter & the Chapter. Joining him were Pi Lambda Brother Glenn Sergeant & Brother Clifford Thornton

Today, the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Pi Lambda Chapter were honored to serve our community by volunteering at the Back-to-School Health Fair at Southwest High School.
Hosted through the partnership of St. Mark Baptist Church, 2nd Baptist Church, and Longley Baptist Church, this incredible event helped prepare students and families for a successful school year by providing free sports and school physicals, immunizations, vision screenings, dental screenings, and school supplies.
We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside these churches, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community partners who made this event possible. Together, we helped ensure that students are healthy, prepared, and ready to learn on day one.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and participated. It truly takes a village to invest in the next generation.
