Dear lord what a weekend!! Wrapped up the 3rd Arkansas Mafia Elr clinic today at White Oak Creek Shooting Range and man, it was an experience! We didnt get off the range yesterday untill right before dark after starting class at 8 in the lodge. Just like the other 2, Terry Garrison and Bruce Beltramini busted their ass helpin in any way they could. I absolutely could not do it without em. Thats not exaggerated in the least. Its simply too much work to handle without em. I was so busy and wrapped up in what we were doin, i didn't get a single pic of the group, a target or anything but a snake i caught that tried sneakin up on terry while he was grillin lol. It was hazy, hot, mirage'y soup allllll day today and yesterday, minus the last 2 hours or so yesterday evening. Really shoulda went to the long stuff then, because today was just rough. Even so, Martone Billy had 2 impacts in a row at 2 miles, believe shots 4 and 5. Then put a few more on it in next string. 2 others attempted it, and both Richard Rollins and Mike Sicking were soooooooo close. Mike put 4 or 5 in a group the size of a trash can lid or so juuuuust off left edge. Richard apparently liked shooting between the legs, cause he put several rounds just off bottom edge between em lol. I have 0 doubt if they had a few more rounds they woulda connected. I absolutely hate i didnt get em on. Even tho their data for elevation was damn near perfect, i just feel like i let em down, i know how much a 2 mile impact means. I wish ida loaded more up for Samantha Lindsay norma too. Originally she wasn't gonna be there so didn't load but 50. After tall target testing, then the mock match this mornin, we didnt have any rounds to send at the 2 mile. But she did amazing in the mock match with cold bore impact at 1 mile, and her longest shot made at 2500! I think she got a little of the nerves knocked out today and will be ready for her first match soon. Unbelievable experience. Thank u again bruce and terry. Last but definitely not least, thank u to Bryan Litz and Applied Ballistics for all the data and testing yall have done to put out the best ballistic solver made. When u pair quantums cdf and velocity feature with Garmin chronos, and do it correctly, u get the best firing solution possible. I hope i did my job well enough as an instructor explaining how to do it and what ur actually doin when u do it, that they are now able to calculate the most accurate firing solution possible. Hopefully well have another clinic this fall! Till then yall go knock some paint off!

Tomorrow ill be at White Oak Creek Shooting Range lodge, hangin with my buddies and ol lady gettin ready to put on the 3rd Arkansas Mafia Elr clinic! Lookin forward to seein some light bulbs go off for some folks and helpin them improve. Its gonna be a damn good time!

Just wanna take a min to brag on my buddy Bruce Beltramini. Ive known him about ever since i been competing. It was prolly year before last we started hangin out a bit more at White Oak Creek Shooting Range . Then when i did the first clinic last year, him and Terry Garrison both jumped in and helped in any way they could. We've since done a 2nd one, with a 3rd at the end of the month. Theres no better men than those 2, and no better ambassadors for elr. But to see bruce go from runnin in the middle of the pack, to winnin, bein on the podium, and 4th overall in the alliance rankings just makes my day! The man goes out of his way to help anyone (specially new shooters), puts the time in, and has worked for every podium hes been on. He never post about his wins or podiums, just kinda flys under the radar. I just wanted to try to shine a spotlight on him a bit and let yall know I'm proud to call him a friend and teammate. If u havent met him or got to spend time with him on the range, ur missin out.

Figured id give an update on the issues i had with the app Saturday at the match. Ab looked into it and found it was an issues with the beta software. Ive been on their beta ever since i was testing it before it became available. Anyway, deleted, installed the regular app and back in business! With that said technology fails, s**t breaks, things happen. So if u have a shootin buddy or teammate, yall should build each others profiles in the others apps. Mine is now in Terry Garrison , but next time we have time we'll get each others profiles duplicated in the others phone. Ill prolly build the profile in my kestrel as well to have 2 backups. Also it would probably be beneficial to have their profile available while ur spotting for em.

Well, light didnt quite go how i hoped, the damn app kept freezin up and wouldnt change! Just glad it happened to me and not Samantha Lindsay lol. Ill have a back up in the kestrel from now on. We'll get it sorted out tho.Terry Garrison managed 2nd, just a few points behind first, and hes standing at #1 in light right now! Heavy went better. I put my profile in terrys app for heavy, and thanks to his, Bruce Beltramini and Bryan Taveney unbelievable spotting i managed 1st with 2 impacts at 2 miles. Bryan really is to thank for that one, i didnt see anything! Loooong day but man it was a good one, and even better people. Rupert Jenkins also did really well today with a 5th place finish in light! I believe hed a been on the podium if i coulda just found him on the last couple targets. What a damn day lol. Im wore slap out but wouldnt change a thing!

Tomorrow will be my first light gun match in around 5 years! Pretty excited to shoot 2 matches in a day instead of just spotting for half of it lol. Samantha Lindsay 's Alamo Precision Rifles built 300 norma ai has shot great from the get go. After this match it should be bout settled in and ready for her first match ever! Finished up a 2 day class today, well, 2 half days. Charlie Hall and Kevin Baughman drove all the way from cali to stop by on their way to White Oak Creek Shooting Range this weekend. Typically they fly kevins plane to texas, but went out of their way to spend some time with me. Billy Don at twisted barrel took care of em with rv hook ups, and i came out soon as i got off work yesterday and today. Luckily its been cooler weather and i made it out at decent times. We cramed alot into 2 afternoons! Afterwards, i realized i didnt get a single damn pic other that the 1 mile plate after we finished lol. I hope they had as good of a time as i did, despite it bein some work lol. 2 damn good men and i enjoyed their company. If anyone is interested in doin somethin similar to what they did, or a 1 or 2 day class over a weekend, just holler! Ill do what i can to work around schedules.

I never chase quarter minute groups, but when i put 2 of em down back to back, i still get excited lol. And the other shot was not mine lol. Maybe i can right the ship this weekend at hawks.
