This customer wanted a purple ribbon themed rod. The blank is a plumb colored St Croix blank. The reel seat insert is purple heart with purple accents in the custom turned grip. Ahead of the grip is a graphic of purple ribbons. The guides are top quality Snake Brand Guides wrapped with purple thread with lavender accents.

I don't do just fly rods. This is a light spinning rod built on a MHX blank. Nothing fancy

This is one of my Military Rods built on an 9' 5w 4pc MHX blank. Walnut reel seat insert with walnut trim on the grip. The rod is Air Force themed.

As many of you know, I have been battling Stage 3B/4 lung cancer for the last year and a half. I am still building rods but I am much slower than I was before the chemo treatments and other stuff started.

I am doing well. While the cancer is not operable, the staff at University of Colorado Cancer Center have things under control and the tumors are greatly reduced. All but 2 out of 5 are gone.

I want to thank everyone for the prayers and good wishes. They have made everything a lot easier to handle.

Things have been slow getting out of the shop here but this is one of the latest. A 9' 2pc 5w rod ordered last minute for Christmas.

TiCH hardware and guides, acrylic camo real seat insert, custom grip and his name on a camo background. Gudebrod #441 Gunmetal gray nylon with CP for the wraps.

This was a custom rod built on a Sage blank that was broken. The rod was sent to Sage and Sage returned a new blank as the old model was no longer available. Sooo... the customer brought the blank to me and I built a rod on the new blank.

This is another of the military rods. This was built on a 9' 4pc #8 American Tackle blank. I'm not sure what the wood is that I used for the reel seat, fighting butt, and handle, but the spalting makes for an interesting rod. Snake Brand guides and Lemke hardware for the reel seat from Ron Weber.
