Putting in a plug for Walt Green at High Performance Sail Repair. I've taken my torn sails to Walt for at least a decade. He always does a great job, and his rates are reasonable. He's the only sail repair guy in the Denver Metro area, conveniently located in downtown Golden.
Walt's loft is well equipped, with multiple heavy duty long-arm sewing machines that can sew webbing strap, multiple layers of canvas, etc. He has a hydraulic press and all the dies for inserting high-tech grommets into sails.
Most importantly Walt has a lot of knowledge about how to repair and even re-cut sails e.g. for switching from hank-on to furling headsails.
The loft is stocked with fabric and parts for sail and even canvas repair. That means Walt and his talented team can turn your job around fast, e.g. within a few days, instead of having to wait for materials to be shipped. If he doesn't have it, he can order it - even battens and specialty parts - through his close relationship with his suppliers.
