Women's Self Defense Workshop
Join us for a Free Women's Self Defense Workshop, open to everyone in our Community! At Gracie Barra we are big believers that knowing how to protect yourself is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for females. Because of that, we will be offering a 100% free Women's Self Defense Workshop.
The workshop will be led by Coach Dan Leith and student Aline Moraes. Together they have put together an exciting workshop where you will learn how to protect yourself from your feet and on the ground with some basic fundamentals using striking and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques.
The workshop will be on September 24th, and begins at 2PM at Gracie Barra Livonia. Suggested attire is regular workout clothes (yoga pants and t-shirt for example) and please RSVP by using the QR code shown on the event flyer.

Dear GB family Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Most of us have heard this quote by Mahatma Gandhi and perhaps even been inspired by it. It’s a beautiful sentiment and one that reminds us how everyone has the power to make an impact. Anyone that has met coach Justin got impacted by his positivity someway or another. He is a big part of why we all keep going back to train. He has taught many of us how to push through the toughest training days, which has helped us get through the toughest days of our lives. He has taught many of us the importance of learning from our mistakes and how to be better students on the mats. Please help us support coach Justin and his family by raising funds for baby EJ who is in urgent need of a heart surgery to correct a congenital heart defect. Unfortunately baby EJ had a seizure few days ago and doctors found a hole in his diaphragm that needs to be corrected surgically. He is having his first heart surgery on the 21st of July . He will need an MRI to help diagnose the reason for the seizures as well. Any support will allow the Dziak family to focus on their baby and family. This GoFundMe is to start helping with the mountain of medical expenses, and relieving some of the stress and burden of the family’s shoulders.
