Academy of Japanese Shotokan Karate

Our kids had an amazing time for their very first tournament ever. I was so proud at their performances, the way they conquered their fear performing in front of a large crowd, and how their sportsmanship when faced with disappointment.

Parents, thank you for having such wonderful children that I get to be a part of their lives. I hope they continue their journey throughout the years and represent the spirit of karate-do.

Congratulations to our newest promotions!!! We look forward to seeing their continued growth in karate.

My students competed in a tournament held by Sensei Valvona yesterday. The competition was fierce, friendships made, and felt everyone was able to take something away.

Great job by all, young and old, veterans to first time competitors. No matter the style, no matter the schools, we all represented our teachers well.

I couldn’t have been more proud of Nicholas, Esmie, Duncan, Emmett, Big Alex, and Mary for going out there and doing what they did. It takes a lot of courage and honor to represent. Thank you for all the family and friends that came and showed their support.

Snow day announced for tomorrow schools, depending on the weather and traffic we may follow suit and cancel class. Currently just an FYI

Tonight was our annual Christmas party. Sorry no pictures but we had a great turnout and an even better time. Promotions and gifts were given, pizza eaten, and pictures taken. I would say it was quite successful. One more class and we’re off for two weeks.
