The LHS girls varsity swim team opened their 2026 home meets with a victory over visiting Niagara Falls yesterday in the LHS natatorium!

Reagan Zugelder (200 IM and 100 free) and Jordan Kirchberger (50 free and 500 free) were double winners for the Lady Lions. Lockport also picked up individual wins from Ava Baker (200 free), Leah Gaskill (100 back) and Ellie Gaskill (100 fly). The 200 medley relay of E. Gaskill, Zugelder, Kirchberger, and L. Gaskill and the 200free relay team of Baker, E. Gaskill, Zugelder and L. Gaskill both secured first placed finishes for the Lady Lions.

The team travels to Starpoint on Friday, September 18th to take on the Lady Spartans at 5:30 before returning to Lockport on Tuesday, September 22nd as they host Williamsville East.

The Lockport High School Girls Tennis Team earned their first home win yesterday as they defeated the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks 5-0 on the LHS courts. Earning victories for the Lady Lions were Lily Adams at first singles(6-3, 7-5), Olivia Dietz at second singles (6-3, 6-3) Aurelia Riggs and Sophia Teichman at first doubles (6-1, 6-1), Emma Wheeler and Lily Wysochanski at second doubles (7-5, 6-1) and Bella Tubinis and Lydia Cruz at third doubles (7-5, 6-0).

Lockport will travel to Niagara Wheatfield on Wednesday, September 16th to take on the Lady Falcons at 4:30.

LHS Girls Tennis Coach Tim Trotter celebrated his 100th career win on Monday afternoon as the Lady Lions defeated North Tonawanda. 2026 marks his 10th season with the Girls Tennis Team, which has grown significantly under his leadership. Congratulations Coach Trotter!

Friday Night at the Dash-in-the-Dark Lockport's Trio of Avery Farrell, Julia Rohde, and Marin Connor placed 10th (6th in Division 1) out of over 100 relay teams. Avery also placed 13th overall as an individual! Noah Moran placed 8th overall as an individual on the boys side! Congrats Lions!
