USU Scotsmen Ultimate Frisbee

We are excited to report that ZACH BALLS will be returning to USU Ultimate as an assistant coach!
Zach started his ultimate career at Sky View High School in the years following the graduation of Coach Eric and Coach Tanner. During his time there, the team finished 2nd and 3rd in the state. His senior year, he played for The Hive, a pre-ycc era team coached by Dave Kroupa and Bryce Merrill(Salt Lake Shred Head Coach). Zach continued after high school through the local city league, included playing for the first team to defeat the dominant Yorgason brother team. Zach is a USU ultimate alumni returning to build the program. He has been a part of the Scotsmen for 6 years now, adding both coaching and playing.

Zach lives in Providence with his wife Mickie and daughter Elizabeth. He's excited for another great year of ultimate with the Scotsman.

**USU FRISBEE CAMP**
The Utah State Scotsman are a high level, nationally ranked collegiate team. Featuring players that compete in the professional leagues(Salt Lake Shred), this is a valuable clinic that will help each participant at all levels to learn new skills and improve their abilities in the sport of Ultimate.

Intro/Basic Camp:
Grades 3-12
July 17-20th
2hr a day
9 am - 11am
Location: Meadow View Park (North Logan, Utah)
$100 for 4 days + Tshirt
Each player will gain a deeper understanding of the basics of the sport to build a solid foundation

Elite Camp:
July 26-29th
3hr a day
9 am - 12pm (noon)
Location: Meadow View Park (North Logan, Utah)
$150 for 4 days + Tshirt
Camp includes skills, technique and tournament play. Winners will receive custom USU discs.

We are pleased to announce and introduce our new HEAD COACH: ERIC HOLT

Eric Holt is an experienced, level headed coach with nearly a decade of experience in guiding athletes and teams to the next level. Known for his passion, strategic mindset, and love for his players, Eric has coached many teams to great success. Beginning his career in Cache Valley, he led local high school teams to state championships in 2015 and 2017 (Sky View), and 2018 (Green Canyon). Eric also coached the Utah Swarm Youth Club U20 Boys team 4 of the last 6 years, elevating the program at Nationals from a 14th place finish in 2017, to 2nd place in 2021, and a commanding 1st place in 2022. He hopes to lead that same team to a repeat National Title this August. As a dedicated mentor, Eric instills discipline, motivation, and a love for the game in his players, helping them excel both on and off the field.

Eric currently resides with his wife, Becca and daughter, Sammy. Together they bring over 20 years of Ultimate experience and are excited to return to Cache Valley with it.

Eric is one of the best coaches in the state of Utah and in the Nation. We are honored to have him aboard our team. Welcome Coach Holt!

We went 4-2 on the weekend, only losing to Oregon and taking 2nd! Most importantly, we made Nationals again! We are hyped to be able to go to Cincinnati and show everyone what we got! We need your help to get there!
