The Spokane, Washington native joins the Aggies from the Vernal Oilers and says he’s looking forward to the atmosphere and energy of home games in Logan!

Excited to have our Assistant Coach, Eric Gierloff, back with the team for another season.

After retiring from officiating college hockey at the end of the 2024-2025 season, the USU Hockey Team hired Eric as the assistant coach. A month and a half into the 2025-2026 season, he was promoted to interim head coach due to an unexpected situation. Through it all, the Aggies achieved an incredibly successful season. Coach Gierloff was able to lead a very special team to Nationals in St. Louis and missed making the semi-final game by a tie-breaker. Coach Gierloff is looking forward to next season and giving the fans more opportunities to sing Winning Team, Losing Team.

Aggie fans, please welcome our new Head Coach, Jonathan Cosman, to the Aggie Hockey family!

Jonathan Cosman was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. As a player, he finished as one of the top scorers in Weber State Hockey history. He has served as an Assistant Coach at the Junior and Collegiate levels and is the owner of JC93 Hockey. Coach Cosman has been married to his wife Cherish for 10 years and they have 2 children, Dannik and Scarlett.
