We’re thrilled to welcome Asa Shepherd to Cache Valley as the director of our FRIDAY NIGHT FLAG OVERTIME Summer Football Camp!

Asa has led the Friday Night Flag Boise league for the past 13 years and brings extensive coaching experience in football, track, and basketball at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. He also created our 7v7 passing league to help athletes continue developing year-round.

For the past 7 years, OVERTIME has helped K–8th grade athletes build confidence, sharpen skills, and compete at a higher level through high-repetition training, great coaching, and nonstop fun.

What Makes Our Camp Different?
Every part of camp is built for maximum reps—we do not like kids standing in lines!
Hour 1: Speed & Agility
Get faster, quicker, and compete.
Hour 2: Offense Skills
QB, WR, and RB development
K–2nd: rotate through all positions
3rd–8th: choose a position or skill to focus on
Hour 3: Defense + Scrimmage
Teamwork, game strategy, and live action.

Final Day - Competition Day!
Athletes compete in Pro Bowl / combine-style challenges for awards in:
QB
RB
WR
Fastest Athlete
Best Defender
Sportsmanship
MVP
Prizes awarded to winners!

Cache Valley FNF!

My name is Asa Shepherd, Camp Director and longtime leader of the Boise Flag Football League for the past 13 years. I have experience coaching football, track, and basketball at elementary, junior high, and high school levels. I also created our 7v7 passing league to help kids continue developing year-round. Last season, Keri and Mitch invited me down to visit the Cache Valley league, and this season they’ve invited me back to lead our Summer Skills Camp.

I’m excited to invite your athlete to our high-energy Summer Football Camp—OVERTIME!

For the past 7 years, our camp has helped athletes (K–8th grade) improve through high-repetition training, great coaching, and competitive fun.

What makes our camp different?
Every day is structured for maximum amount of repetitions, WE DO NOT like kids waiting in lines:

Speed & Agility (Hour 1): Get faster, quicker, and compete
Offense (Hour 2): QB, WR, RB skills
K–2ng grade rotate and learn all positions
3rd–8th choose their position or skill to grow on
Defense & Scrimmage (Hour 3): Teamwork + game action
Final Day = Competition Day 🏆
Athletes compete in pro-bowl/combine style drills for:
QB, RB, WR, Fastest, Defender, Sportsmanship, and MVP — with prizes awarded.
