Calling all our Glenbard East Class of '86 peeps. We are one month out from the start our 40th Reunion Weekend!! The Planning Committee has been hard at work planning and you don't want to miss your chance at seeing everyone, so DO NOT wait to RSVP for the Main Event on Saturday, September 12th at Avanzare Restaurant in Lombard. Deadline for the pre-pay is August 31, 2026. We really need everyone to sign up before then, if possible, so we can give Avanzare an accurate number ahead of time, so we can all eat their delicious food! I can't wait to see you all!! If you have any issues with the link, DM Patty Weyburn Conliss or Michelle Marie Miller-Searer! Please also pass the link on to other classmates who are not on Facebook.
Go, Rams!!❤️🖤🐏🎉

Memories of DQ downtown! Cruise nights and just hanging out in Lombard. Who remembers? 🍦🚗

July is National Ice Cream Month, and there's no better place to celebrate than Lombard's beloved Dairy Queen at the corner of Main and Maple Street. No matter the season, this longtime favorite remains part of the village's history.

Built as one of the original Dairy Queen franchises, the building still displays its vintage neon DQ sign. While most locations replaced theirs in the late 1950s, this one never changed. Today, the sign is a designated landmark and is believed to be one of the last original neon signs still standing in northern Illinois.

Pictured is a 1988 photograph originally published in the "The Lombardian" giving it that classic black-and-white look!
