We’ve heard you. Over the past several months, residents have shared concerns about park maintenance, communication, and the overall condition of the Butterfield Park District.

You are right to expect more, and we take that responsibility seriously!

In response, the District has begun implementing changes across operations, maintenance, staffing, and communication systems to better serve our community moving forward.

We’ve shared a full community update outlining:
• What we’ve heard
• What’s already underway
• What residents can expect next

This is the beginning of a larger effort to restore and strengthen the District through visible progress, accountability, and consistent communication.

Thank you to the Morton Arboretum for helping remove invasive species from the Brentwood Nature Trail and for funding more than 35 trees at Glen Briar Park and the Brentwood Nature Trail. The Butterfield Park District couldn't have done it without you!
