Want more power on your serve without forcing the swing? 🎾

The key is learning how to create better flow, better timing, and a smoother connection between the legs and the racket.

In this video, I break down a few of my favorite ways to build that:

• Stay fluid through the motion
• Practice the windmill or figure-8 pattern
• Pause briefly in the L-shape power position
• Explode with the legs before the racket enters the backscratch
• Start with a half motion and build up to the full serve

The goal is simple: more racket speed with less effort.

Low elbow on your serve? Try these 2 fixes. 🎾

A low elbow can rob you of power and make the serve feel cramped.

In this video, I show you how to:

• Exaggerate the correct elbow position
• Keep it there during acceleration
• Add flow, legs, and hips into the motion
• Progress from a partial serve to a full swing

In this series, I’m sharing some of the biggest lessons from my on-court tennis lab.

The first article focused on the serve and forehand. In this latest installment, I explore two more essential elements of modern tennis: topspin and footwork.

I break down the technical details that can help players move more efficiently, create heavier shots, and build a stronger all-around game.

I hope you enjoy it!

🎾 Effortless Forehand Power Starts Before the Swing

Most players rush the backswing.

Try these simple cues:

Hold… then swing.
Slow… then go.
Wait… then accelerate.

The right tempo and timing create effortless power—not muscle.
