Open play is happening at DeForest Park (lighted) and Veterans Park (lighted). Both now have 8 dedicated courts. Search for Deforest Pickleball and Veterans Park Pickleball to find their pages.
Young or young-at-heart players with tons of energy and high competitive drive might want to try playing with 562 Pickleball.
*W/Th evenings 5:00 - 7:30 at Somerset Park
*Saturday mornings 9:00 - noonish at Marina Vista Park; and
*Sunday mornings from 9-noonish at Veterans Park.

Take the Scherer Park Survey! Two plans are open for community comment. Both include pickleball courts. One has 3 courts, the other 4 courts. Be sure to offer comments concerning permanent nets, lights, court dividers, etc. It will be great to have additional and permanent courts on this side of Long Beach!

UPDATE 9/2/23: Weekend play is open. Next week courts will be locked during the day (Tues - completion) while work continues to install the sound proofing panels.

It's 2024 budget season in the LBC. Advocate for more pickleball courts with a digital comment card, or attend one of the community meetings.
