A great Wilson tradition - Senior Signing Day for the athletes that will continue to compete in their sport at university. Congratulations to Bruin Sailors Hailey Thompson and Trent Turigliatto who will continue their sailing at Cal Maritime and the University of Miami.

Pacific Coast Championships 2018. Gold in Long Beach and Silver up north at Encinal YC to close out the season.

The always stunning Santa Ynez Mountains provided the backdrop for Gaucho 2018 which was sailed in persistent rain on Saturday giving way to clearing skies and fickle breeze. Silver had another excellent regatta placing 4th with Brett/Charley taking 3rd and Tara/Sam 9th in their fleets. Gold came 17th with seniors Trent/Hailey placing 7th in the A Fleet in their last travel regatta. Another terrific Wilson / Poly team dinner at Petrini’s.

Golden Bear Regatta 2018 presented challenging conditions for the fleets. Saturday saw shifty and gusty breeze that in one race had no less than a dozen FJs capsized in the brisk waters of San Francisco Bay. Sunday brought a moderate and consistent wind. Brett Peoples and Charlie Snyder sailed to an excellent 2nd place in Silver B!
