As our students head back to the classroom, we’re reinforcing our ABCs of Success: Attitude, Belief, Confidence & Discipline.

Because martial arts isn’t just about kicks and punches. It’s about helping kids make better choices, manage their emotions, stay focused, and become positive leaders on the mats, at school, at home and in life.

We take those lessons seriously at the Power of One… but that doesn’t mean we can’t make them FUN! 😋🍧

You may be excited, nervous, confident, uncertain or a little bit of everything. That’s okay. New beginnings are supposed to challenge us!

Remember, you’ve spent your summer practicing how to focus, persevere, adapt, and believe in yourself. Take those same skills into your classrooms and tackle each new challenge one step at a time.

And most importantly … BE A LEADER. ❤️

Smile at someone who looks nervous. Introduce yourself to a new face. Include someone who feels left out. Be respectful. Be kind. Lead through your actions, even when no one is watching.

Never underestimate the power of your smile or the example you set for those around you.

From the 2011 Black Belt graduating class to today, Mr. Nunez has continued to learn, grow, and evolve as a martial artist and we’re proud to have his family as part of the Power of One journey.

Now we get to watch the next generation follow in his footsteps, with his sons working toward joining the Black Belt ranks themselves! ❤️🖤
