Man days like this aren’t ideal. I find it difficult to rejoice as most do. Regardless of the ex*****on, you were my father and I respect the sacrifices you’ve made to make us all better men. I deal with this by not dealing with it but sometimes it’s just easier to forget. It may not be right but it’s how I’ve dealt with it. You taught us the value of hard work and instilled a strong work ethic in us. I can’t change the adversity but it’s made me who I am today. Thank you for what you’ve done and hope to keep making you proud dad and happy Father’s Day! Sorry for not appreciating the moments we had as you were always teaching regardless if I wanted to listen.

I had the pleasure of giving my 2nd RecTalk Live at the State wide conference this week representing on part time staff retention and recruitment. I was shocked when we had 70+ recreation professionals in the crowd listening to what I had to say.
It’s insane to think that 2 years ago at this exact conference when I learned about and their Recreation Department. Taking a risk on myself I left the comfort of being in Santa Clarita to pursue my education and now am speaking at conferences. I am now serving on the Cprs District 3 Board as the Student Representative and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
