SoCal Kitesurfing

Remembering Viktor Zaiets on what would be his 65th birthday. Great friend, instuctor, family man. He was in the 2024 certification course and became an IKO instructor in 2024. Before we met he was teaching in 2021 in the Black Sea , Ukraine, Kherson region. He went back in 2025 to his country and was killed by a bullet. I only knew this because by coincidence this year I taught one of his students from 2021 who knew this. The student said the kite community there honored him with a great farewell. I remember he always carried a photo of his extended family taken on his 60th birthday. I will remember his laugh and kind heart always.

Happy 35 Birthday Parker! I love being with you 🫶, teaching with you🕺, and setting up the kite school with you 👊, every day. Best life ever is the kite life with friends and family.
