this is such a good 5. its got a couple lessons that you’ll continue to encounter and mastering them now will serve you majorily. the biggest take away is the left heel. you have to squeeze into the wall. pull the hips in tight tight tight and squeeze hard on the heel. it will all make sense after that. you just have to keep it together for the rest. a heel hook like that will change your life. you’ll think about it for a long time. it will be that one heel hook that you think about late at night or zoned out while stuck in traffic - you’ll be like, damn daniel, that heel hook changed my life.

first obstacle on this masterpiece is that damn volume foot. heel down. its about surface tension. the most of your toe box you can get to make contact the easier it will be. you can really chill and collect yourself once standing on the start hold. this is to psyche yourself up your for the next bit. the hold around the corner is a massive jug. you wont let go of it. the palm press is essential. you can do this without the toe hook but its a lot more wild.

big tip - brush the jibs. beginning seems obvious so i’m NOT breaking it down. advice for the jumpy part is to grab that right hand with your shoulder engaged - you need to be able to access your inner beast to hold the swing. a straight arm will not allow the beast to roam. come out guns blazin. shoot first. dont ask any questions. just p**s on the grave. you can do it. going up to the crimp is all about your hips. keep them tight to the wall. elastlic but tight. now he’s just backstepping the lower feature to cross into the pinch - I like to put a sneaky heel on the second feature while backstepping to help keep my hips in and take some weight off. the rest is about believing in who you were meant to me. you were meant to do this. you were given all the tools and opportunities. now make the most of it. don’t let Gary collet more badges than you. Professor Oak chose you for a reason.

lovely problem. this is all in the feet. the biggest thing about big feet is that you have to be even more precise and conscientious about your foot placement. when you have a little tiny chip you dont have to think at all. when the foot is 4’x2’ you have to think more. (insert her name) is settping on the outer edge of the volume and pressing her upper body into the wall - making it slab’like. if you place your foot closer to the wall you might feel more secure in the foot but you wont get the same upper body position and you’ll just fall away or get stuck trying to hold on way too hard. the toe hook helps a ton but put major focus on the top foot placement. we encourage a pop into the last hold, it might seem stressful but its actually pretty chill. you can do it.

pink has it all going on. litte lower body leg power at the start. some elevator door action - pry them open. I see a lot of people get stuck at the big vertical rail cross situation. do what Jude - give the ol’ grab n’ go, commit to the cross and unwind to the next hold. its like dancing. just feel the rythm, feel the rhyme, its bobsled time. now he does finish tall. but if you’re pocket sized you just step up on that rail. you got it.

Yellow 7.
ring ring ring its another absolute banger on the line - pick up you little poser. micro pinch sequence for the start and for the win. toe down hard on that absolutely giant foot to make this sick ass cross.
tall homies, you can bump through this next sequence, shorties are gonna need to flick the foot out and most likely commit to the mini rose - fear not, the crimp is good and its pretty steezy. next you gotta stand up big to the pinch - the distance really isnt that far youre just sitting so far left and low - my guys hips are below his foot for cryin out loud, you gotta drive like you mean it and then squeeze the life out of the yellow pinch.
next you gotta get into the mantle and press your chest into the wall and be one with it. this next part you just gotta have faith - the hold is so good and down pulling - you only live once you might as well stick this move. burn hard. be hot.

also a toughie but a goodie. the bad holds are better than you think. the feet are the focus. the feet are kinda boo boo and that’s the lesson. first big call out is that small dual tex volume you have to launch from. people say if you spit on dual tex it makes it better but you don’t need to spit on it - i would slap it with a shirt tho. white dual tex coated in a thin layer of chalk is a death wish for your hopes and dreams. after that is this pseudo coconut squeeze situation. its really about the right foot - get it good and then just stand into that crimp. if you don’t stand into it wont work. then its pretty much done. be a hero.

Orange 5.
its a hard five. very top end. also a ripping banger. heres the dealio, every move is kinda tough so you gotta enter the dragon and lock-in. were thinking about pushing hard through our toes, the first
four holds are all underclings that you wish were bigger so you have to keep standing into them. the orange triangle foot is not good so
you have push through it with your heel dropped down - not your toes, your whole ass foot. the crimp is actually pretty good. the move
after is about pushing your hip into the wall while standing up hard - the pinches are really good - they’e kind of a relief. the crimp is
also not bad. once you catch your foot you really need to push off your back foot to get to the finish hold. good luck. belive in yourself, if you can’t, believe in the me that believes in you.
