Meet Hailea Anderson! The last of our team captains that are graduating this year! Hailea is an amazing coxswain that we were so lucky to have for the past 4 years.

Fun fact she has raced a few times as a rower and done an amazing job. Hailea is known for bringing the energy to every morning practice, always bringing the energy in the boat to every race day. She can always manage to make you smile in the morning after a long workout. She is always there when you need someone to cox you during a hard piece and push you further than you think you can.

Hailea has worked hard to be a leader on the team on and off the water. We are so grateful and don’t know what we would have done without hailea for the past 4 years, she has been a friend, a leader, a coxswain and a rower.  We are so excited to see what the next few years bring to Hailea!

Always know that you have a family on the Monmouth Women’s Rowing team!

Meet Isabelle Pilao! She started as a walk on her freshman year and we are so glad that she chose the rowing team!

She came back even stronger as she is an avid marathon runner and has accomplished many this year while also being a full time Nursing Major tackling clinical hours! She is always up in the early mornings going on runs in her free time to stay in shape for her marathons!

We are so happy that she decided to spend the last year of college rowing in the morning with us! Isabelle is a kind and caring member of the team that brings positive energy to every boat she is in. Her favorite boat to row is a 4+ and her favorite race course is the Cooper river where we spend a lot of time racing in the spring.

We are so excited to see what the next few years bring to Isabelle! Always know that you have a family on the Monmouth Women’s Rowing team!

Meet Sam LeCrone! We don’t know what we would do without Sam!

Every morning she always manages to make the team laugh and bring positive vibes to the boat every day! Before coming to Monmouth she rowed for Gunston School! You could often find Sam in the student center or Edison doing work or chatting with friends before class.

She has been at Monmouth since day one and worked hard to make this team a family, every early morning and hard workout she always give it her all and has inspired many girls on the team to do the same. We are so grateful to have had Sam on this team for the past 4 years working hard and creating memories.

We are so proud of how far you have come Sam! We cannot wait to see what the next chapters bring you! Always know that you have a family on the Monmouth Women’s Rowing team!

She was already an all-star in our books and now the rest of the league knows it.

Congrats to Alyssa Taylor for earning All-CAA accolades.

Meet Marissa McKenzie! Rower turned Coxswain, Marissa or Riss as we like to call her, is one of our beloved team captains!

She turned her rowing knowledge into becoming an amazing coxswain for the past few years of college rowing. She started her career at Fairmount Rowing Association and continued on at Monmouth University. She is a confident and caring leader that has led many boats to success both in rowing and coxing.

Her favorite race course is the Charles in Boston Massachusetts where she has competed many times before!

She is going to be missed but we cannot wait to see all that she does in finance in the next chapters of her life. You always have a home on the Monmouth women’s rowing team! Thank you Riss.

Meet Caitlin Newsome! We are so thankful that Caitlin decided to come back for another year to get her grad school degree in public service communication!

In the past 5 years she has become a vital member of the team. She is always kind and willing to help out the team in any way possible. Her home town is Tinton Falls, New Jersey, but she began her rowing career on the Monmouth women’s rowing team as a walk-on and we are so glad that she did. Over these past few years her favorite race course has become the Schuylkill in Philadelphia and her favorite pre race song is Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen.

On the team we know and love her as Newsome and we are so excited to see the next chapters of her life! We will miss Newsome and are so grateful that we got to have her for 5 years! You always have a home on the Monmouth women’s rowing team! Thank you Newsome.
