DAmico Racing: Building a Vintage Bronco for the Mexican 1000 off road race

El campeonato de Record Off-road Series Ensenada continua atrayendo diferentes equipos a sus competencias, como el liderado por John Damico que vio acción en la competitiva clase 18.
La ultima fecha del campeonato denominada Sanimex Los Flemate Ensenada San Felipe 300, tuvo en competencia al icónico Ford Bronco 1972 del equipo D'Amico Racing, logrando finalizar en la 11va. posición de la categoría, con un tiempo de 11 horas 43 minutos 33 segundos.
Cabe destacar que el legendario bronco, regularmente lo vemos en el tradicional Rally Yokohama Norra Mexican 1000, desafiando la península de Baja California.

The beginning of the build. Rob Davenport in Greeley is the main builder of this Bronco. Rob put together this beautiful Ford 9” with disc brakes from Wild Horses. A few special mods for quick gear oil changes and a b**g for monitoring temps. Once installed to the suspension we’ll beef-up the housing with various supports welded strategically to the housing. Support from BFG helps the cause with new KM3’s!

Jefe’s: Best drinks, friendliest service and tastiest food in Boulder County! Riley and Stewart are such experienced and friendly bartenders and Sean, the owner has been a Baja enthusiast since he was a kid! Sean’s dad raced dirt bikes back in the day and took first place on a CZ motorcycle in a 250 race! Those guys were tuff! Thanks to all the people at Jefe’s that have supported us on this project!
