☀️We had an amazing turnout at this weekend’s Drive-Thru Shred Event! Huge thanks to our Mayor, dedicated City staff, and all the incredible volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly.

🚗🚕🚙A total of 101 cars drove through, and we successfully shredded over 345 boxes of documents—keeping our community secure and clutter-free!

☀️Happy Friday Everyone!

📄 Drive‑Thru Shred Event Tomorrow!

Los Altos Hills residents are invited to a free Drive‑Thru Shred Event happening tomorrow, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Town Hall!

⏰ 8–11 AM (or until the truck is full)

📍 Town Hall Parking Lot — 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022

Residents can bring up to 15 standard file boxes of confidential documents to be safely shredded on-site. This is a great opportunity to protect your privacy and clear out old paperwork before the rainy season.

Tips:

To help ensure a smooth and efficient process, please prepare your materials in advance:

📣Remove documents from binders and binder clips (these items can damage shredding equipment).
Place documents in file boxes or paper bags. Place materials in your vehicle’s trunk for easy drive-thru handoff.

✅Paperclips, staples, rubber bands, and separately packaged credit cards or gift cards are acceptable.

❌Unacceptable items include batteries, matches, electronics, metal, cardboard, binders, binder clips, x-rays, CDs, DVDs, plastic sleeves, e-waste, pens, garbage, and any non-paper materials.

No appointment needed — just drive through and drop off!

🌧️ Get Ready for the Rainy Season, Los Altos Hills! 🌧

With the National Weather Service forecasting a strong El Niño event this winter, now is the time to prepare your property and help protect our community from flooding, erosion, and storm damage!

The Town encourages all property owners to complete the following by October 2026:

✅ Clear leaves, sediment, and debris from private storm drains, ditches, swales, and culverts.

✅ Keep yard waste and construction materials away from drainage areas.

✅ Inspect your property for potential hillside erosion.

✅ Check private and street trees for hazardous limbs or damage.

✅ Continue monitoring drainage facilities and trees throughout the rainy season.

Taking a few proactive steps today can help prevent property damage, road closures, and flooding tomorrow!

Parking is limited, so please plan ahead and allow extra time to arrive.
Additional parking is available at the Town Hall (26379 Fremont Road).
• Please do not park on or block pathways, driveways, gates, or access points.
• Do not block or narrow the roadway. Emergency vehicles must be able to pass at all times.
• Please follow all posted No Parking signs and temporary event signage.
• Many surrounding roads do not have sidewalks. Please use extra caution when walking to and from your vehicle, especially with children.
