I’ve never talked about how much I used to struggle with addiction…here’s my recovery story 🤍👇🏼
and the reason why it all started was because I stopped sleeping at age 14 due to my childhood trauma (CSA)
from age 14-24 I was lucky if I got 3 hours of sleep per night. I didn’t sleep for 10 YEARS 🤯🥹
in a desperate attempt to fix my sleep, I went from being addicted to w**d to being addicted to getting messages (which were both bad for me in different ways like health + money)
then I finally found somatics…
i sleep like a baby now. 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. it feels f*cking fantastic
if you struggle with sleep, comment SLEEP and I’ll send you an exclusive 3 min class to help you get better sleep tonight 🤍
and if you struggle with addiction, comment HEAL and I’ll send you an exclusive 1 min somatics video so you can see somatics can help your recovery too 🩵

first of all, it’s important to acknowledge that cellulite isn’t a flaw. it isn’t “bad” or “shameful.”
if you want to reduce the appearance of your cellulite because that helps you feel more confident, this post will teach you how...
so, cellulite can be a normal pattern of female connective tissue (aka your fascia), but stress makes the appearance of cellulite much worse.
scientifically, when you experience long-term stress, your fascia tightens and blood flow to your fascia decreases, which makes the appearance of cellulite worse.
additionally, when you’ve been stressed for a long time (over 3 months), your cortisol levels rise.
this slows down collagen production, weakens the connective tissue that keeps your skin firm, and makes the appearance of cellulite worse.
when you’ve been stressed for a long time, your nervous system can get stuck in it’s “on” position (fight or flight),
which makes your body prioritize survival over repair...
this means less circulation, slower collagen renewal, and weaker tissue recovery, all of which make cellulite more visible.
but when you do tiny, lazy movements called somatic exercises, you visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite.
