I AM RUNNING SUB 3 MARATHON at THIS YEAR!

A 3 hour marathon is a 6:52 pace so as long as one of those miles is 6:51 i’ll be good!

I ran the LA marathon at a 3:14 but it was crazy hot and had a ton of elevation… So conditions and route should be better in December in Sacramento!

My focus for this time around is continuing to strengthen those smaller muscles that help with running and my elasticity with plyometrics. AND getting my weekly milage into the 40-50 miles a week range.

A lot of guys start running more before summer trying to lose weight fast…
But here’s the truth: If you want sustainable fat loss, better endurance, AND confidence in your body…

you need more than cardio.

You need:
strength training
recovery
nutrition
consistency

The goal isn’t just to lose weight. It’s to feel GOOD in your body this summer.

☀️ Summer is closer than you think.
And for a lot of guys, that means the pressure starts hitting:

vacations
photos running outside again

When losing weight one of the best things you can do is have an intentional plan that fits your life!

for most people this looks like having meals that are easy to prepare, and don’t take too too long. As you can see in this hall, I grabbed a lot of foods that don’t take that long to prepare. Like the bagels and all the low-calorie or high protein snacks.

These things either hold me over until my next full meal or make my meals easier to stick to.

Fat loss works the same for everybody, but everybody’s not the same. To find out what works best for you.

These three things will change how split squats feel 💪

The stability is a benefit of doing split squats but that doesn’t mean you can’t modify and work up to the standard technique!

1. keeping your hips squats and not letting them open up, is a big focus for this exercise. If the platform you put your back leg on is too tall that it causes your hips to open up it puts you at a disadvantage and makes it harder to balance. So use whatever platform height, you need to to keep your hip square and stay balanced.

2. how are you holding onto the dumbbells plays a big role too. If you want to engage more of your core holding one dumbbell contralateral will force you to do just that. But if that is not a big focus for you, hold one dumbbell with the same hand as the leg that’s forward or use two dumbbells.

3. make sure that your feet aren’t in line that will make it a lot harder to balance side to side or laterally. Spread your feet and it will make a bigger difference than you think!

they are tough, but grants are an amazing exercise not just for building muscle, but staying coordinated and in control of your body. They’re great for runners, because they teach her legs how to work independently the same way they do when you’re running.

You can’t give me a better experience than this 🏯

One of my favorite things about running is that it gets you closer to the world. You see more from the route when you’re out there running than behind the window of a car!

You feel more IN it.

I think (literally as i type this) that it’s a good reminder to take back home. You’ll feel more a part of the world when you’re outside living than inside.

So a message to me (and you) is go outside today. Go outside tomorrow. And the next!
