Jun Chong Martial Arts Jun Chong Martial Arts, founded by Grandmaster Jun Chong, has been one of the longest standing martial arts academies in Southern California.

We are famous for a strong tradition and professional reputation since 1973. Our system is built on a consistent curriculum integrating various styles of martial arts, specifically Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. It has been successfully taught through the years to children and adults. Many of our students have become masters in their own right, attesting to the high quality and standards of our system. Our Studio is open 7 days a week with classes starting as young as 3 1/2 years old to adults of any age. We also offer classes in other styles of martial arts including Kendo, Jiu Jitsu, Iaido, Yoga, and Escrima in order to make your martial arts experience more well-rounded. Jun Chong Martial Arts is affiliated with the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) in Korea and the International Korea Hapkido Federation. Our students are certified in both federations when they earn their black belts from our organization.

Shoutout to all the competitors who hit the mats at Babalu’s Iron Gym In‑House Tournament this past Saturday. It takes guts to put your skills on the line, and you all showed heart, discipline, and growth.

Competition is one of the most crucial parts of the jiu‑jitsu journey. It pushes you past your comfort, teaches you resilience, and builds confidence that carries far beyond the gym.

The Grace’s Legacy Scholarship was created to honor her memory by recognizing and supporting students who demonstrate these same values both on and off the mat.

Mateo joined our school at 4 years old and 15 years later has grown into a fine young man who trained consistently and helped teach the kids classes.
