Parkway Morning Session -PMS - Something for everyone, or not.

Good to be back old friend. Sun in your eyes, slowness in the legs. Riding circles on the Parkway. Don’t worry it will be dark at the start shortly.

Good times today riding up and down the parkway! Good job navigating the closed lane today. We also got to hear old man Leibert way too much today. Please be mindful of safety and optics when riding into the middle of intersections with a red light and cross traffic. Even if nothing perceivable happens, many drivers see that and react in a certain way.

Today’s ride had some animated discussion. In all truth, I have been involved in an animated discussion or two. It is never enjoyable and it never solves any issues. Mostly because there was no real issue to begin with.

Some go fast, some go slower, some race, some don’t. My goal (and the goal of many others I have spoken to) is to get up early, ride bikes safely, and ride bikes as quickly as I feel like to get a good workout.

There better not be anyone that has the goal of going to the morning session to be involved in an animated discussion.

This ride is the most diverse (socio-economically, racially, and ability) go fast group ride in the nation. We don’t all think the same way and that is a good thing.
