I’ve been there. We have all been there. Here’s what I’d like to offer up to you:

Here’s what you DIDN’T see - the months I spent more than I earned in my business, the moments I questioned everything, the times I wondered if I really have what it takes to run this business. Not going to lie, these feelings are scary AF.

I'm "on track" to make less money in 2022 than I did in 2021.

Honestly, when I first realized this, I was pi**ed. As an enneagram 3, the disappointment in myself was feeling reallllll.

After sitting with my emotions and feeling all the feels, I started (honestly) reflecting on this year. Some of the questions I asked myself:

👉🏻 were the financial goals I had set for myself actually important to me? or were they just the numbers I thought I "should" hit?
👉🏻 how could not hitting my goal could actually be a good thing? (e.g., fewer calls on the calendar, more time to travel, etc.)
👉🏻 does it really matter if I don't hit this income goal this year, knowing I was working toward it, and still am?
👉🏻 how can I zoom out? what has changed from a strategic perspective? what was different this year?

After some self-coaching and mindset shifts (which SHEESH 🥵 she's a damn good coach lol), it got me thinking about all of the other ways I define success beyond only seeing the $ in my bank account.

Even if I don't hit my revenue goal, I’m still a 6 figure business owner, and a freakin’ successful and badass one at that.

We need to change the narrative around what success actually looks like for each of us. Money is an unlimited resource. It’s never going to be enough if the only way you view success is by the amount of money you have in your bank account.

And all the money in the world won't even matter if you aren’t enjoying the journey of it all.

And if you are reading this thinking "ugh I'm in the same boat..." - guess what? The year isn't over. You, too, have the opportunity to ramp things up going into 2023 instead of slowing down.

HOW MY LIFE CHANGED FOREVER ✨

To start this story, let me take you back to May of 2021.

I was on the hunt for a business retreat that incorporated community, education, strategy, mindset, and relaxation. Something that would leave me feeling truly empowered to uplevel my business. 📈

I searched and searched, but I couldn’t find anything like what I was looking for. There was always a key component missing. So I decided to create my own dream retreat, so that virtual service providers like me could have a place to step into their badass CEO power in a way that nurtures their business AND their heart. 

Fast forward five short months later, on October 6th 2021, we wrapped on the first ever Success Society Retreat! After my first retreat, I knew I had created something truly special and one of a kind. Less than a week later, I already started making deposits for the second retreat because I knew in my heart that this was something I was being called to host for a reason. 🎉

I’ve been trying to find the words to describe how I feel, but grateful to every single one of our attendees who said yes to the Retreat, hopped on planes, drove for hours, left behind loved ones, fur babies, and their teams to invest in themselves! 💕

Coming at you live from “life on the road…”

Never thought I’d say that one, that’s for sure. 

ICYMI—I’ve been spending the last month or so working and traveling as a digital nomad. 

I started my journey in the country of Georgia (nooooot the same thing as the state, lemme tell ya 🍑) then went to Armenia and now I’m currently in Barcelona. 

And next up, Cape Town, South Africa. 🐘

It almost feels too good to be true if I’m being honest. 

You see, for the longest time, I just wanted a way to be able to travel the world and make money doing it. 

I didn’t see myself as one of those fancy travel bloggers or influencers. 

I didn’t see myself taking a sabbatical as a way to cope during an existential crisis. 

And I most definitely didn’t see myself doing it while I was working in a stuffy office cubicle. 

So when I started my online business, I knew that I wanted it to be set up in a way so I could work from anywhere. 

But don’t get me wrong—getting to a place where I would be able to travel for several months while owning my own business wasn’t something that happened overnight.
