Bag Work!

snapped his leg performing a Muay Thai Low Kick on at UFC 261. This had some people commenting how dangerous this kick is and some even suggesting it should be banned.🤔 While any strike in combat sports can be dangerous the low kick is no more dangerous than many other strikes. It is important to educate one self on the human body and its conditioning to understand what most probably happened to Chris and to Anderson Silva for that matter. High Performance training creates micro fractures in your body be it soft tissue or bones, when the body repairs these micro-fractures you become stronger this is mostly what is meant by conditioning where your body adapts to new levels of stress. High performance athletes train 2-3 times per day 6 days per week. Their bodies are under constant stress and often-times their bodies are not allowed to recover, this is "the" recipe for an overuse injury. If you pay attention Weidman did not deliver the kick with too much power, we're sure you've seen Muay Thai Kicks way stronger than this. But the problem with his leg is most likely his Tibia had sustained too many micro-fractures and not allowed to recover over a long period of time. As gruesome as it looks it is an overuse injurie that finally snapped and it is a very sad thing to witness happen to anybody we feel for Chris and wish him all the luck in the world with his recovery. Personally we've seen this exact injury three times, Chris, Anderson and in soccer the Ex-Barcelona phenom when his leg snapped in half, very similar to Chris's, while he was performing a power move simply stepping on the ground - to maneuver, no one touched him, and his leg simply snapped. Again not a pretty sight and we feel for these outstanding athletes for which we have much love and respect but we felt compelled to right this post for those whom are interested in understanding what most likely happened to Chris's leg. We're don't have personal knowledge of his exact situation but we feel this is most likely what happened to his leg. Much love Chris get well soon!
