Mike Santana to WWE just makes too much sense to ignore if these rumors hit.

Think about the timing. WWE now owns AAA, meaning the Latino audience isn't just a demographic they're hoping to reach anymore, it's baked into the business.

Santana already has real credibility in that space as a former TNA World Champion, and he's not walking in cold either, those NXT appearances already showed fans respond to him.

Signings like this only work when the fit is obvious. This one is.

This faction had every reason to work and it barely got the chance.

JTG and Shad Gaspard aligned with Cena back in 2008, right in the middle of his feud with JBL, and the three of them just clicked on screen. Vandalizing JBL's limo together, the energy, the chemistry, it all felt fresh.

Then Cena's injury hit during the Batista feud and the whole thing quietly disappeared. No sendoff, no closure, it just stopped being mentioned.

Rest in peace to Shad Gaspard too. This one hits different knowing we'll never get any kind of reunion or callback.

What could have been.

Calling it now, this era of The Vision is actually working, and I don't care if that's an unpopular take.

A few weeks ago this stable felt directionless, just a bunch of talented guys thrown together with no real hook. That's changed fast. Maxxine gives the group an edge and a mouthpiece that isn't just Logan. Logan handles the talking, Bron handles the physicality, and Theory, for the first time since he debuted, actually looks like a guy with a story instead of a guy just waiting for one.

They were all over Raw again this week too, multiple segments, real focus. That's not an accident, that's WWE telling you they're betting on this group.

I know the Bron slander is loud right now, people want him back in the main event immediately. I'm not there. SummerSlam season locks up that whole picture for the next few weeks regardless of who deserves what. He's a tag champ again in the meantime, staying relevant, staying protected. The second SummerSlam wraps, I'd bet money he's back in the singles picture.

One thing that caught my attention was Paul Heyman seemingly handing the reins of The Vision over to Maxxine.

I really liked her new look, and she already feels much more confident in this role.

It also gives me the feeling that The Vision is about to go through a complete reset.

It reminds me of how The Judgment Day found its identity after Edge was removed from the group. Sometimes a faction doesn’t need to end. It just needs to evolve.

I’m really curious to see where WWE takes this next.

The Bloodline are the aggressors right now, attacking Royce Keys and forcing Solo into this position, yet the crowd still treats them like the good guys every time Roman walks out.

Solo's babyface turn makes it even weirder. He's aligned with Knight and Keys against his own family now, but if the crowd already loved the Bloodline, what is he actually turning away from in their eyes.

Same thing with Roman and Seth. Roman said some genuinely nasty stuff on the mic, and Seth was the one who got jumped first this week. By any normal logic Seth should be the sympathetic one right now.

That's what makes this story work for me. WWE isn't clearly labeling anyone, they're just letting the crowd decide who they love, and right now the crowd loves the villains.

Who's actually the heel here?

They finally got me invested in Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins. Wasn't fully there until this week.

Roman went nuclear on the mic, best promo he's cut since the CM Punk feud at WrestleMania. Calling out Seth's "work daddy" Triple H and the fake injury MITB cash-in was ice cold.

I thought Roman won the verbal exchange clean. Seth still came off a little defensive at times, while Roman stayed composed and landed the sharper shots.

Physically though, Seth had the last word, laying Roman out with the mic shot, Pedigree, and Stomp to close the show.

Great segment either way.

Paul Heyman calling Oba Femi a "big dummy" for turning down a title match to chase Brock Lesnar instead was great heel work, comparing him to an obsessed ex and everything.

But Oba's response is what made it click. He didn't dodge the obvious question, he said straight up that Brock would've ruined the title match anyway, so why bother.

That's the kind of writing that respects the audience. Instead of hoping fans forget the plot hole, they turned it into the answer.

Paul Heyman might be the most dangerous man in WWE.

- Was in Lesnar's corner when the Streak died at WrestleMania.
- Turned Roman heel and rode that story for years.
- Normalized the whole part time champion trend around Brock.
- Now molding Breakker, Theory, and Logan Paul the same way.

Every guy he touches ends up serving his story instead of their own.

Seth might be the only one left who can actually stop him.

CM Punk says there are only three real bookers left in all of professional wrestling.

He feels too many people are now involved in the creative process, from writers to board members to committees, and that's changed what the role even means anymore.

I actually agree with him on this one.

The more hands in the pot, the harder it is to tell a clean, focused story. Some of the best wrestling ever came from one person just booking what they liked.
