YNAB (You Need A Budget) literally changed my life. Now I help others tell their money what to do!

01/10/2025

My friend and Facebook + Instagram Ads MASTER is hosting his 5 Day Ads Bootcamp starting next Monday, January 13th. It is $25.

From Zach:

"As you know, we’re launching our bootcamp next week, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I can do to help with the ongoing wildfire relief efforts in California - my home just a couple of years ago.

Honestly, I hesitated to post this because I didn’t want it to feel like I’m using a tragedy to promote the bootcamp. But here’s where I landed:

If you’ve already joined the bootcamp, I want you to know that we're pledging to donate 5% of your existing ticket purchase to support Wildfire Relief through Global Empowerment Mission.

They are a boots on the ground organization...

From their site:

"We currently have truckloads of supplies en route to Southern California from our Chico warehouse, and in collaboration with BStrong, we are distributing cash cards to evacuated residents.""

I am an affiliate of Zach's programs, but I was not planning on promoting this round of Ads Bootcamp. Because I was not expecting to promote, I will be donating 100% of my affiliate commission to GEM as well.

If you are at all interested in learning about Ads, this is an unbelievable chance to learn from one of the best in the biz.

Just comment or DM me the word BOOTCAMP" and I'll DM you back with a clickable link. This is a great way to maximize your impact of giving AND getting something in return that is an incredible and truly valuable resource.

I will be providing screenshots of my affiliate dashboard and receipts for my donation(s).

Also. The Rebel Girl Alliance doors were going to be opening within the next four weeks. But if you are interested in joining, the cost is $9 a month for access to free and paid resources from some of my favorite educators and content creators. We will be learning things that they SHOULD have taught you by the time you graduated high school.

Feeling this all the way today. It is the longest line I've seen at our polling place since we moved here in 2017. I'm exercising cautious optimism and have been staying mostly clear of scrolling social media today. 💜

I *hear* you.

In 2014, I had been in the accounting field for almost 20 years, but had no idea how to budget or manage my personal finances. 🤯

I was a newly-single mom of two toddlers who qualified for food stamps, relying on the support of my family to survive. Shame and guilt were a constant companion.

Now? My husband and I own our own home, and were able to cash flow a whole-house paint job, brand new roof and brand new driveway (roughly $13,000 of improvements) within a single year.

We aren’t “perfect”.
We are still paying off consumer debt.
We are finding what is best for our family.

In short? We have more work to do – but the life we are living now seemed flat out impossible and I pinch myself regularly because I can't believe it’s real!

Give me a 💯 in the comments below if you can relate!

Does this surprise you? It's actually fairly common, believe it or not-- but I think this uniquely qualifies me to help people with their money.

I have the "classic" education + experience + the life experience you need.

Armed with a YNAB certification and passion that can't be matched, I turned my finances around! 💪🏻

Money is a source of stress... that's for sure. So how do we alleviate this anxiety and worry in our day-to-day lives?

Here are 4 ways to REDUCE stress:

💸 Give every dollar a "job" and purpose // aka: BUDGET.

💸 Stop pretending you can spend $100 on groceries in a month // BE REALISTIC about how much you spend and where your money goes.

💸 Accept that life will change and each month might look different // It's just a fact, friends.

💸 Get a month ahead on expenses // Work towards getting one month ahead on bills.

What do you do to relieve stress when it comes to your personal finances? Let me know in the comments below! 👇🏻👇🏼👇🏽👇🏾👇🏿

Making a budget is the easy part. It's checking back in with it, updating it and keeping track of what you have spent that is the "complicated" or "hard" part. It's where people get the most tripped up in my experience.

I wish it were as simple as setting it and forgetting it, but that's not the case. You have to know where your money is going and you gotta check in on it throughout the month. Otherwise... you're not really budgeting.

This is why I love YNAB.

Having a live copy of your budget updated with all of your spending right in your pocket is helpful in day-to-day life.

Knowing exactly how much you have to spend in your grocery category while you're at the store? Priceless.

This revolutionized my budgeting and made my life *so* much easier. Do you use a budgeting app? If so, which one!?
