For over 500 years, the spirit of To***co has been hijacked through colonization, mixed with chemicals, and turned into an addictive product that has disconnected many people from one of the oldest sacred medicines of this continent.
Many people believe certain sacred plants are “not for them.” There are, of course, allergies, personal preferences, and traditions that differ. But there are many ways to honor the spirits of the land without consuming them.
When I enter ceremony, I always bring To***co in some way because it honors the land beneath my feet and the traditions that have cared for it for thousands of years. If you’re living in the Americas, this is an invitation to deepen your relationship with this land.
If you choose to journey with me, know that To***co is honored with deep respect as part of restoring right relationship—with the Earth, with our ancestors, and with the sacred traditions that continue to be carried today.
Are you in right relationship? Only you can answer that.
My upcoming One with the Earth: Fall Equinox Retreat is about returning to those traditions.
This is not a luxury retreat (although Pachamama is the most luxurious). Nor is it a place to bypass our collective shadows. It is a place to reconnect with the ancestral ways of this land while nourishing ourselves through intimate journey work, the healing elementals, and the song of the wind.
🌿 If this shifted the way you think about ceremony, healing, and right relationship, download my free guide to Indigenous Shadow Work in the link in my bio.

What does it mean to be One with the Earth? 🌳
Being One with the Earth is making sure everyday, either through an offering, a water or to***co offering, or some type of moment of stillness, that you go:
“Thank you, Pachamama. Thank you for this body. Thank you for the life, for the animals, for the food, the nourishment.”
Everyone is indigenous to the Earth. We’re all coming from this human Earth plane.
What truly makes someone indigenous isn’t only being native to the land, although that is very important. It’s the connection and the honoring of the land.
To truly be an indigenous person is someone who is working and in harmony with the Earth.
It’s the relationship we have with Earth every single day, every moment. Our consumption, all those things matter.
One with the Earth: Song Circle with ChefOm is now available on YouTube. Check the link in my bio to check it out! 🌎

Recognition of the sacred is Ceremony.
Ceremony isn’t defined by incense, an altar, a yoga class, or even meditation. Those can all be beautiful doorways, but they do not automatically make something ceremonial.
Ceremony is a way of seeing.
It is a perception that allows us to recognize the sacred already woven into ordinary life. It invites awe where others see routine, relationship where others see resources, and offering where others seek consumption.
There is a difference between receiving an experience and entering into relationship with Life itself.
When we begin living ceremonially, the practice doesn’t end when the circle closes. It follows us into how we wake, prepare our food, care for the Earth, speak to others, create, grieve, celebrate, and give back.

You’re Invited! 🌿
Before we gather in the mountains…Let’s gather in song.
ChefOm and Deanna Araceli are opening the doors to a free online Song Circle as we prepare for our Fall Equinox Retreat, One with the Earth.
We’ll share devotional music, speak about the medicine of ceremony, the meeting place between Vedic and Indigenous traditions, and why the Fall Equinox has long been honored as a sacred threshold.
This isn’t simply an information session.
It’s an opportunity to experience the heart behind the retreat before we ever step onto the land together.
Whether you’re curious about joining us in September or simply longing for an evening of music and community, we’d love to have you.
🗓 July 15
🕔 5:00 PM PST | 8:00pm EST

A New Era of LA Casa de Luz ✨
What began as a space for oracle readings has grown into a home for education, ceremony, initiation, artistry, and community.
It feels like a season of reintroduction.
Some of you are new here—welcome. Some of you have been witnessing this unfolding for years—thank you for walking beside me.
I’m Deanna Araceli, spiritually initiated as Daya Dhara dd, founder of LA Casa de Luz, spiritual educator, oracle, author, poet, artist, and musician creating under the name D. Dhara.
For over a decade, I’ve lived between Southern California and Mexico. My path has taken me through years of study, travel, ceremony, devotion, and many initiations of my own.
Whether you’re seeking clarity through a Soul Mirror Reading, a deeper initiation through Vision Quest or The Mysterium, gathering in retreat, or connecting through my poetry and music, each offering is simply a different doorway into the same path:
Remembering who you are.
Here’s a glimpse into the ways you can journey with me.
Sending mucha, mucha luz. 💫
P.S. I updated the entire LA Casa de Luz website. Come take a look. 🌿
📸 Thank you 2WNTY4 | Los Angeles 📸✨ for helping bring this next chapter to life.

Happy Solstice familia! 🌞
Although Summer is filled with fire, in all reality this season is about slowing down and nourishing our seeds and projects.
In Jyotish, this time marks the coming of Dakshinayana- where the Sun (Surya) moves Southward, where days become shorter and nights are longer. The official position is on July 16th with Karka Sankranti - when the Sun officially enters Cancer per sidereal astronomy.
ॐ ह्रां ह्रीं ह्रौं सः सूर्याय नम
Om Hraam Hreem Hraum Sah Suryay Namah
“This mantra praises the Sun god for his divine and magnificent power to render a life of fame and abundance with austerity and prosperity. The hymn also praises the Lord for his healing powers that can free a person of any negative impact or disease.“
Be blessed ✨
