Today was a special day at the Garibaldina as we hosted Italian Catholic Federation for a bocce tournament between our two organizations. New friends were made, pizza was eaten and a new tradition started!

It's not corporate, there's an unwritten code of how things are done. We roll our sleeves up, we come together, we do it a little wild, but we do it well. Who knew that I'd find my own version of an Italian piazza in a time capsule building on Figueroa Street, and that it would become my second home.”

Save the Date: February 3, 2024 4-8pm. We are kicking off the year with a great partnership with Italian language school and non-profit, Fondazione Italia!

Festa di Carnevale is finally back at The Garibaldina! Food, Consume Contest, Photo Booth, Raffle, Music, Dancing and Cocktails and more! Kid Program from 4-6pm and the bar will be open until 8pm.

Big thank you to new member Stephanie Breijo for writing a beautiful article on the various Italian holiday cookie recipes of The Garibaldina that is on the front page of the Weekend section this past weekend!

If you have any extra copies, please do not throw them away. You can bring to the next event or drop off in our mailbox anytime. If your neighbors get the weekend paper, maybe check in with them, too.

We want to have copies for our archives and to give members Amanda Lanza, Lina, Lauren Veca, Ignazio Vivirito, Lupe and CiCi Del Rivo some extra copies for sharing their cookies with the world and shining a spotlight on The Garibaldina!
