Benefits of Functional Training and HIIT (Hight Intensity Interval Training):
STUDIES SHOW THAT CIRCUIT TRAINING AND HIGH-INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT) WITH SHORT REST INTERVALS WILL BURN MORE CALORIES COMPARED TO OTHER TRAINING MODALITIES.
Here's a cool fact: Similar to how a car’s engine remains warm after being turned off, once a workout is over and you’re back in your daily routine, your body’s metabolism can continue to burn more calories then when at complete rest. This physiological effect is called excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC. Also known as oxygen debt, EPOC is the amount of oxygen required to restore your body to its normal, resting level of metabolic function (called homeostasis). It also explains how your body can continue to burn calories long after you’ve finished your workout. Studies has shown that EPOC is greater on (HIIT) and circuit training, thus burning more calories after the workout session.

As a California Footvolley Champion (August 2016) I would like to share my knowledge about this exotic sport with you.
What is Footvolley:
As its name suggests, Footvolley is a wonderful mix of Football and Volleyball. I know, it sounds so strange, playing Volleyball with your feet, but I can tell you that it is the most exciting feeling as you learn .
It has an interesting story of origin that truly shows how creative people can be in pursuit of what they want. Basically, in 1965, Brazil, a football ban was enforced by clubs over the summer in order to ensure that players didn’t get injured. In response to that, they took the game to the volleyball courts.
Footvolley is all about sun, sea, beach and fun. This sensational sport demands an excellent balance, ball control, endurance, focus and quick reflexes and body and mind in harmony . Footvolley is eye-catchingly addictive and everybody can play. Young or old, man or woman, anyone can learn it.
