Lori is extremely knowledgeable about exercise and movement as we age. I cannot thank her enough for her advice RE: hip bursitis. I was on the verge of having to give up my hiking in the hills, and biking, which I love. Lori advised me on the best stretching exercises and how to use ice after exercising. Thanks to Lori I am now back to my routine!
Lori was our guest at the San Fernando Valley Multiple Myeloma Support Group. She emphasized balance, strengthening our core and stretching. She was terrific!
Rosemary & I were reminded last evening of all the things we should be doing for nutrition & fitness...most of which we practice regularly. We like to think it's what got us into our 80s.

What many believe are (sore) muscles, may actually be fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds our muscles that can be strained from too much sitting, walking, or standing incorrectly.

Here are two great fascia stretch exercises demonstrated on the floor utilizing a yoga strap. These movements, using self-myofascial release, help mobilize, alleviate pain, and open up the hip by releasing the fascia.
